Pay attention to the prevention of pigeon pox, pigeon pox is generally prevalent from March to June, it is necessary to do a good job of vaccination prevention and mosquito control. Once it happens, it should be treated by surgery in time. You can also spray a small amount of low-toxic mosquito-killing water on squab to prevent mosquito bites, but do not overdo it. In addition, attention should be paid to the prevention of coccidia, mycoplasmosis, salmonella and other diseases.

New child pigeons, because they have just left the parent pigeons, it is difficult to adapt to the changes in the environment, this is a greater stress, it is easy to induce disease, at this time can use some antibiotics for prevention. At the same time, some vitamins and mineral supplements can be added to improve the disease resistance of pigeons. In addition, do not suddenly change the feed formula, affecting appetite.

(3) Young pigeons during moulting period

At the age of about 50 days, the pigeon began to lose the first main wing feather, and then changed one every 13-15 days, continuing until the beginning of production. Molting is a kind of stress in pigeon production, which not only consumes a lot of energy, but also needs a lot of nutrition to make new hair grow. Therefore, it is most likely to get sick during the change of the first and second feathers. At this time, we should pay attention to supplement nutrition, increase vitamins and mineral trace elements, in order to improve the disease resistance of pigeons and reduce death.

(4) pigeons born during the pairing period

Once the breeding pigeon is successfully matched, it will be put into production immediately. Attention should be paid to increasing the content of protein feed before pairing, and some hemp kernels can be fed appropriately, which can improve the fertilization rate. A medicine bath should be taken before the start of production to kill external parasites and give some antibiotics and insect repellents so that breeding pigeons can be put into production in good health.
