The experience of mixed culture of scorpion and Tuyuan

Tuyuan is a commonly used medicinal material, and the benefit of culture alone is not very high. The use of scorpion room, the earth yuan and scorpion mixed culture, the benefit produced by soil yuan can ensure the heating, food and labor costs of breeding scorpion, scorpion for pure profit. In the case of mixed culture, the hatched Tu Yuan larvae can be used as food for scorpions, and the shed skin of the young scorpions and the dead bodies of the remaining yellow powder insects are eaten by Tu Yuan, thus forming a virtuous circle. The ways of mixed culture of Tuyuan and scorpion are as follows:

First, spread 5 cm thick breeding soil evenly in the breeding pond, and put the tiles used for scorpion habitat. The humidity in the perch tile is the key to the growth and development of scorpion. Primary-age scorpion can not shed its skin if the humidity is too high, which will lead to stagnant water in the lungs of scorpion bursa, dyspnea and suffocation. At present, the form of the scorpion's nest is to build a nest with bricks and stones in the breeding pond for the scorpion to inhabit, and it is wet with a sponge or sprayed with water every other day. Although the surface looks wet, the humidity of the nest where the scorpion lives can not meet the requirements at all. One is the nest format (or honeycomb type), which is filled with soil to add water to supply moisture, but the moisture supply is uneven, the death of water in the scorpion sac is quite serious, and the scorpion room can not be disinfected regularly to remove mites; the other is the ground pool type, that is, to build multiple independent ponds in flat land. Although the wetting of the ground surface basically meets the requirements, the pool is connected with the ground, and the surface temperature fluctuates with the seasons, so it is difficult for scorpions to achieve the goal of fast cattle. Therefore, we suggest that a plastic pipe with a length of 5cm longer than the cave and a diameter of 5cm should be selected. The wall of the pipe is drilled with a hole of 2mm in diameter and filled with sand or sponge (for adding water). The gap between the pipe and the ordinary tile is equipped with a 2-3cm thick wet soil layer, the effect is ideal. If there are conditions, the use of scorpion grid-shaped habitat tiles, equipped with automatic humidifier, the effect is more ideal.

Put 2-year-old scorpion in the breeding pond. One-time delivery is carried out according to 1000 per square meter of culture area. While releasing the 2nd instar scorpion, the 2nd instar nymphs were also put on the breeding soil with a quantity of 50g per square meter. The scorpion perches on the feeding soil between the tiles, can put food boxes or plates, and sprinkle the same age yellow powder insects as the scorpion for the scorpion's staple food. The food box is 50 cm long, 5 cm wide and 1.2 cm high. Shallow plates can be used on food plates. Every 3-5 days, stir-fried wheat bran, peanut cakes and other mixed feed mixed with green vegetables, sprinkled into food boxes or plates, in order to maintain the normal survival of yellow powder insects. Other breeding soil should also be sprinkled less on the surface for the soil yuan to feed, rather than enough, so that the soil yuan will eat up the food within 2 days. In this way, not only can the mildew of the remaining feed pollute the feeding soil, but also when the soil element does not get enough food, it will eat the skin shed by the young scorpion and the dead body of the remaining yellow powder insects, thus playing a role in cleaning the environment.

When the scorpion enters the 5-year-old stage, it can clear the pool and change the nest for disinfection once. The breeding soil in the breeding pond is screened out with 8-mesh screen, and the soil elements over 5 years old are sorted out by screen and put into another breeding pond for centralized rearing. After growing into adults, they can be used as provenances or processed and sold as commodities. After the sifted breeding soil was exposed to the sun, fresh feeding soil was added, and then mixed with 0.3% potassium permanganate aqueous solution: if the density of the small soil element sorted was too small, it could increase the weak insects of 2 or 3 years old and then put into the scorpion pond to continue mixed culture.
