Close the doors and windows of the goose house, plug the cracks in the house, add curtains to protect against cold at night or pile barnyard manure in the back wall of the goose house to keep warm, appropriately increase the feeding density, and keep the egg nest soft and warm. Plastic greenhouses should be built if conditions permit, and solar energy should be used to increase room temperature.

1. Keep warm against the cold.

2. Provide adequate nutrition. In the cold season, it is necessary to improve the feeding standard and appropriately increase the proportion of cereal feed with high carbohydrate and fat content, so as to ensure the supply of energy, protein, vitamins and inorganic salts and enhance the ability to keep out the cold. The reasonable composition of dietary concentrate is as follows: corn 60%, bran 20%, cake 18%, auxin and eggshell powder 2%, each goose is fed 150 grams 200 grams of concentrate per day, which is divided into three times, one of which is arranged at night, and the night is long in winter. feeding an additional pellet before turning off the lights at 10: 12 p. M. is beneficial to improve the laying rate. Geese tend to eat more feed when it is cold, and it is necessary to prevent geese from eating too much fat, so the increase in feed should be enough. In general, the food intake of winter swans is about 10% higher than that in the warm season.

3. Replenish the light. The natural light in winter is only about 10 hours a day. The electric lamp should be installed in the house to supplement the light manually in the morning and evening. Generally, the daily light will actually reach 13 hours from November, and then increase by half an hour every other week. Gradually extend the supplementary light time, until the light intensity is about 3 watts per square meter, and the feeding trough and drinking fountain should be placed near the lamp as far as possible. In the light time, there must be materials in the trough, and the water in the drinking fountain should not be cut off.

4. Strengthen exercise. In winter, female geese move mainly from grazing to shed feeding, and the amount of activity is reduced, and the goose is often noisy to make it move in circles in the shed, which can prevent the goose from becoming overfat and promote more eggs. It can also spread some crushed grass on the ground and sprinkle grain or hang a few cabbages in the house to promote the activities of geese and strengthen their physique. In sunny weather, geese should be driven to suitable sports venues around noon to bask in the sun and promote the synthesis of vitamin D, which is conducive to the growth and development of female geese and laying eggs.

5. Release water at the right time. There is a large temperature difference inside and outside the house in winter, so the geese should be released late and closed early. Open some windows before releasing the geese every morning, and then release the geese out of the shed after the temperature in the house gradually decreases. In winter, it is necessary to reduce the frequency of launching and shorten the time of releasing water. It is generally appropriate to take a bath at 10:00 and 2pm on sunny days, each time for 10: 15 minutes, cloudy and windless days, once in the morning, but not in the afternoon, when it snows, and after the snow stops, and before launching, the snow should be removed along the way to prevent the snow from freezing on the goose.
