Last Updated: 2024/11/09, (1) controlling light and raising deer to increase antler speed: deer farmers can build several simple plastic sheds according to local conditions, covering an area of about 125m2 ~ 225m2, with four 100W ~ 150W mercury lamps installed on the roof, the lamp height is about 2.5m ~ 2.7m from the ground, and the illumination is about 500℃.

The main results are as follows: (1) controlling light and raising deer to increase antler speed: deer farmers can build several simple plastic sheds according to local conditions, covering an area of about 125m2 ~ 225m2, with 4 mercury lamps with 100W ~ 150W on the roof, the lamp height is about 2.5m ~ 2.7m from the ground, and the illumination is about 500℃. Every year from spring (preferably from the beginning of January), the light time can be increased by 6.8 hours to 9.5 hours per day, and the days of light can be increased in 50 days to 60 days. The deer herds in the greenhouse are kept in the same conditions as in the open air. It is proved by the experiment that by controlling the light to raise deer, the deer can take off their horns and produce antler 38 ~ 39 days in advance. The male deer under the natural light did not take off their antlers in April, while the deer under the controlled light in the greenhouse could take off their antlers in advance on February 20, creating conditions for prolonging the growth and development period of antler. As a result, the yield of antler in the first stubble of male deer can be increased by 0.88%-13.8%, especially the regenerated antler, which can not only grow two-bar antler, but also increase the yield by 2-3 times on average (290%-310%).

(2) Sodium humate additive: sodium humate is a kind of multicomponent organic acid with complex structure, which can promote the activity of oxidizing acid and increase the ability of metabolism and nutrition absorption. Therefore, using sodium humate as deer feed additive can increase deer's appetite and exuberant metabolism, which provides sufficient nutrition for the growth of pilose antler. According to the experiment, each male deer was fed 0.2 grams of compound sodium humate three times a day. Two hours before feeding, the solid compound sodium humate was diluted to 0.05% with a ph of 6.5, and then concentrate feed was added. Feed continuously for 70 days until the antler is harvested. Results the per unit yield of pilose antler was 575g in the test group and 490g in the control group, with an increase of 17%.
