Last Updated: 2024/11/05, 1. Keep warm and warm up. When the temperature was 15-25 ℃, the quail had a strong appetite, laid more eggs and had a high fertilization rate of breeding eggs, while the laying rate decreased significantly when the temperature was below 15 ℃. Therefore, the measures of heat preservation and warming should be taken in the severe winter and early spring cold seasons, the cage should be covered with insulation at night, and the cage culture should be increased appropriately.

1. Keep warm and warm up. When the temperature was 15-25 ℃, the quail had a strong appetite, laid more eggs and had a high fertilization rate of breeding eggs, while the laying rate decreased significantly when the temperature was below 15 ℃. Therefore, in the severe winter and early spring cold season, heat preservation measures should be taken to cover the cage at night, and the cage density should be increased appropriately.

two。 Increase the light. Every 30-40 square meter quail house is equipped with a 40-watt electric light, which is turned on 2 hours before dawn and turned off 2 hours after dark to maintain a stable light intensity and light time.

3. Balanced nutrition. In winter, fully nutritious formula feed should be fed, and appropriate amount of sand should be provided to allow quails to feed freely to aid digestion. At the same time, clean water is provided for quail drinking. The feed balance formula for winter quail is as follows: 15% soybean meal, 10% concentrate, 15% fish meal, 54% corn, 3.5% wheat bran, 1.5% bone meal, 1% hay meal, and appropriate addition of vitamin A, vitamin B, and vitamin D.

4. The environment is quiet. In daily feeding, picking up eggs, clear dung, add water when the action should be light, do not easily change the breeding staff. Keep cages and eating utensils clean and hygienic every day. Every cubic meter of space is fumigated with 25 ml formalin and 12.5 grams of potassium permanganate. Disinfect the utensils inside and outside the house with 2%-3% Lysu water every 7-14 days.

5. Timely prevention of disease. In winter, quail cage is generally relatively dense, once the disease, it is necessary to timely isolation treatment. To prevent quail white dysentery, you can use dysentery mixture (20 grams per 100 kg feed) and feed it continuously for 7 days. For the treatment of ulcerative enteritis, 10 000 units of penicillin was injected intramuscularly, once in the morning and evening, or 4 tablets of sulfonamidine were given to each animal, double for the first time, twice a day for 5 days. For the treatment of bronchitis, 0.005% tylosin was added to the feed for 10 days, stopped for 5 days, and then given for 5 days. Tylosin and erythromycin were added to the drinking water at the same time.
