Cao Jiafeng, Liangxu Town, Jiangyan City, called to reflect that the Loach farmed by his family recently showed symptoms of redness of the pectoral fins and redness of the whole body. The Loach floated on the water and soon died, dying about 250 grams a day. He asked what disease Loach had and how to prevent it.

Judging from the situation reflected by Cao Jiafeng, the Loach may have red skin disease. Red skin disease is also known as skin plague and skin scraping. The red skin disease of Loach is caused by the abrasion of Loach body, the deterioration of water quality and the infection of Pseudomonas fluorescens. The disease can be prevalent all year round. The body surface of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus is congested and inflamed, and the fins, abdominal skin and anus are congested and fester; the caudal and pectoral fins are congested and rotten; the tissue between the fins is often destroyed in the shape of a broom.

The red skin disease of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus can be treated by the combination of external disinfectants and internal antibiotics.

Topical disinfectant: ⑴ every cubic meter of water is sprinkled with 1 gram of bleach and water in the whole pool. ⑵ every cubic meter of water is sprinkled with 2 grams of gallnut plus water in the whole pool. ⑶ every cubic meter of water is sprinkled with 0.3g sodium dichloroisocyanurate plus water in the whole pool. ⑷ per cubic meter of water is sprinkled with 0.2ml-0.5ml double-stranded quaternary ammonium salt and water in the whole pool. Oral administration of antimicrobials; 50-100 mg of sulfonamides mixed feed per kilogram of Loach body for 6 days.

To prevent red skin disease of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus, to avoid damage to Loach in the process of stocking, fishing and transportation, the seedlings were soaked in 5-8 mg / L bleach solution or 2-5 mg oxytetracycline solution for about 10 minutes, and the water quality was kept good in the process of culture.
