The early days of laying eggs. The increase of feed supply at the initial stage of egg production should follow the principle of gradual and orderly progress. Generally speaking, female ducks begin to lay eggs at the age of 21 mi 22 weeks. After laying eggs, the feed supply should be increased by 10 grams per duck per week according to the weight of male and female ducks, so as to promote the ducks to reach an egg laying rate of 5% as soon as possible. In production, in order to unilaterally pursue the advance of laying, the egg weight of the first laying and the advance of the peak of egg production, some farmers rapidly increase the amount of feed at the initial stage of egg production, which is bound to affect the economic benefits of the whole laying period. First of all, the beginning of laying too early, coupled with the initial egg production is too large, easy to cause prolapse of the anus of female ducks; secondly, breeding ducks are not consistent with sexual maturity, especially male ducks, although they have sexual desire, they also climb hips, but their semen quality is poor and the hatching rate of fertilized eggs is generally low.

The early stage of laying eggs. During the rising period of egg production in the early stage of laying, the amount of feed should be increased rapidly to induce ducks to reach the peak of egg production as soon as possible. In the 3 weeks before the peak of egg production, the feed volume should reach the maximum value. If the increase of feed volume is delayed, the egg production will often lose 2% Mel 3%. At this time, a tentative feeding method is adopted: each duck is fed with another 1% Rue 5% feed, and the change of the laying rate is observed after 4 days of continuous feeding. If the laying rate increases, it will be fed according to the increased feed quantity. If the egg laying rate does not change, it will immediately return to the original feed quantity. This method can be used many times.

The peak period of egg production. In order to make the peak of egg production come as scheduled, the maximum amount of feed in the early stage of egg production is generally 10% and 15% higher than that of this breed of ducks during the peak laying period. The average daily feed consumption of Cherry Valley meat breeder ducks during the peak laying period is 220ml 250g per duck. In general, do not reduce the amount of feed during the peak period of egg production, and always maintain the highest level. However, after the peak of egg production, the feed amount of 10% more than 15% must be subtracted, otherwise it will easily cause breeder ducks to be overfat, and female ducks will also lead to a decline in egg laying rate. The weight reduction after the peak period should be combined with egg laying week age, egg laying rate, egg weight, etc., and start cutting 2 weeks after the egg production rate no longer increases. The average feed consumption of each duck was reduced by about 10 mures and 15 grams. After 2 weeks, the feeding amount of breeder ducks was stabilized at the maximum amount of feed needed, and constant feed was adopted.

In the later stage of laying eggs. After the age of 48 weeks, the laying rate of meat ducks began to decline at a rate of 1% per week. By this time, the female duck had fully matured, and the egg weight remained stable accordingly, and the nutrition demand of the female duck began to decrease. If the amount of feed is not reduced at this time, it is bound to cause fat deposition, so that the female duck body shape is too fat, resulting in a sharp decline in the egg laying rate in the later stage, resulting in a waste of feed. Therefore, the diet should be reduced gradually with the decrease of laying rate from the age of 48 weeks. The method of tentative reduction can also be adopted to reduce the feed. in general, the daily feeding amount of breeder ducks in the later stage of egg production is 80% of the peak feed volume.
