1) epidemic characteristics: quail bronchitis is an acute and highly infectious respiratory disease caused by quail bronchial virus (QBV). It is characterized by tears, sneezing, coughing, dyspnea, sinus inflammation, rapid spread and high mortality. QBV is transmitted through contact and air. Quails within 8 weeks of age are easily infected. The morbidity of quails is as high as 100%, and the mortality rate is 50% to 100%.

2) Clinical symptoms and pathological changes: ① clinical symptoms: incubation period 4-7 days. Sick quail mental fatigue, conjunctival inflammation, tears; sinus inflammation, head shaking; sneezing, coughing, shortness of breath, trachea? Sound; often gather together, live in a corner; sometimes have neurological symptoms. The egg production of adult quails decreased and gave birth to abnormal eggs. ② pathological changes: inflammation of conjunctiva, opacity of cornea, inflammation of paranasal sinuses with purulent secretion, inflammation of lung and trachea with large amount of mucus, cloudy air capsule with mucous exudate, sometimes necrotic lesions of liver, inflammation of peritoneum and purulent exudate in abdominal cavity.

3) Prevention and treatment measures: at present, there is no effective vaccine prevention and no specific drug treatment. The management of ① should be strengthened, the temperature of chick room and quail house should be raised properly, the ventilation condition should be improved, and the reasonable feeding density should be maintained to reduce death. Quails with ② disease can use antibiotics, and 0.04% oxytetracycline and chlortetracycline are added to feed and drinking water during the disease. ③ strengthens epidemic prevention work and strictly prevents carriers from coming into contact with quails. Strengthen the disinfection of quail house. Stop hatching during the onset of the disease, diseased quails can not be used for breeding, and breeding quails with diseased groups should be eliminated.
