Alpaca breeding

According to the different age, sex, growth stage, season, grazing grassland and feeding conditions of alpaca, on the basis of grazing and feeding green roughage, the mixed concentrate of corn, wheat, soybean meal and bran was supplemented with corn, wheat, soybean meal and bran. To breed male alpaca, every day began to supplement mixed concentrate 0.5kg, and gradually increased to the level of mating period 1.2~1.4kg, alfalfa hay 2kg, carrot 0.5~1.5kg, salt 1520g, bone meal 510g, supplementary feeding once or twice a day, and drinking water after eating; the breeding female alpaca should maintain good feeding and management conditions all the year round to ensure timely estrus, breeding, pregnancy and lactation. Generally, each animal is fed daily with mixed concentrate 0.4~0.6kg, green hay 1.5~2.0kg, silage 1kg, carrot 0.5kg, salt 10g 15g, bone meal 5g, once a day, drinking water after eating, which can be flexibly mastered and adjusted appropriately according to the specific conditions.

Management of alpaca

Male and female alpaca group management, if not grouped, male camels will chase female camels, affecting the feeding and planned selection of alpacas.

Camel mattress grass, the weather is cold, when the ground is wet, you can put the camel bed into the soft mattress grass to prevent dampness and keep it dry and clean.

Pay attention to vigilance: alpacas are very alert, because they are timid and often show a state of panic, such as a little strange things and strange noises, they will be frightened and usually get together.

Fixed point defecation

Alpacas are used to fixed defecation. For alpacas raised in groups, each group of camels should have a fixed defecation point.

Sand baths: alpacas like sand baths and roll like large livestock in battlefield. In order to prevent sand baths from destroying pastures, grass camel sand baths can be set up alone.

Establish a strict disinfection system: the entry and exit personnel must be strictly disinfected, the house must be cleaned on time, and disinfected regularly.
