It is understandable that every homing pigeon enthusiast wants his pigeon to win the championship or be on the list in short-distance and long-distance competitions. However, first of all, we need to understand what kind of eye sand homing pigeons are suitable for short-distance or long-distance racing.

(the sand is full of solid and broad-minded eyes, and the color is thick and unusual. The chest is wide, the tail is short, the wings are long and triangular, and the chest muscles are plump, such as tendons and legs are not high. Among the award-winning pigeons in the international carrier pigeon competition, shallow-eyed pigeons account for the majority.

Homing pigeon eyes: the pupil is black, the light limit is not limited, the inner ring is wide, rough and serrated, the sand is clear, the particles are large, black, sharp eyes, quick response, suitable for ultra-long-distance competition. This sand pattern is common among the award-winning pigeons in previous carrier pigeon super-long-distance competitions in Shanghai, China.

The method of homing pigeon eye sand does not have a fixed pattern, which varies from person to person. Name pigeon, award-winning pigeon and fast pigeon should be paired with each other as breeding pigeons (weigh the pros and cons before pairing, learn from each other's strengths to make up for weaknesses), and then use the method of competition to determine the winning pigeon as a breeding pigeon, and then reclaim blood. There are many reasons for the speed of homing pigeons. It is impossible for us to predict the situation of pigeons flying outside. Only when pigeons have the conditions to homing can they hope to return to their nests. I personally think that the three points are one, orientation + speed + luck (when the pigeon is released in a different place, the pedigree does not work, only for reference).
