Pay attention to "difficulty in selling Grain": unsalable Corn Farmers are worried
"Why has no one harvested such beautiful corn?" When the reporter went deep into the rural areas of the Huang-Huaibei Plain, he saw many farmers looking sad at the houses full of corn and there was nothing they could do about it. "the price of corn is so low this year that it can only be sold for 60 or 70 cents a jin." Niu Hongxun, a farmer in Mei'an Village, Fuli Town, Suzhou, Anhui Province, said that his family has 13 mu of land and has harvested more than 1300 jin of corn per mu. However, because the price was low and no one came to collect it, he had to dry the corn and store it to see if it could come back to the Spring Festival.
On the one hand, there is a bumper harvest of corn, on the other hand, the purchase price is falling all the way. Niu Hongxun said: the prices of agricultural materials have generally risen this year, and the investment in growing corn in one season has increased by more than 200 yuan compared with the same period in previous years. Farmers had expected to sell more money to "hedge" the rising prices of agricultural materials, but they did not know that corn remained unsalable, and prices fell again and again.
"A few people who rush to sell to grain brokers before October 10 sell about 1.65 yuan per kilogram of sun-dried corn. After October 10, it is difficult to sell even 1.4 yuan per kilogram of high-quality corn, and the more it goes on, the less people want it. However, in previous years, such corn sold for at least 2.32 yuan per kilogram. " Yao Yuan, a farmer in Zhangzhuang Village, Caocun Town, Qiaoqiao District, Suzhou City, said that as corn prices have been falling all the way, more and more people have come to collect jade rice. Not only state-owned grain stations and agricultural products processing enterprises do not collect, but also breeding plants and feed factories do not collect, relying entirely on grain brokers to buy and sell. However, in the face of the depressed market, grain brokers press grades and prices at will, and the phenomenon of "difficult to sell grain" that has not been seen for many years appears again.
Compared with retail farmers, big growers are more anxious. Although wheat has been planted in the harvested fields, the corn full of warehouses has not yet been sold as desired. Li Qingwu, chairman of Huaihe Agricultural Machinery Professional Cooperative in Changqiao District, Suzhou, was very anxious. He told reporters that this year he transferred more than 2000 mu of land and harvested more than 3.6 million kilograms of corn. before October 10, he sold a small portion to grain brokers at a price of 1.65 yuan per kilogram, and there are still 3.5 million kilograms of corn in the warehouse.
However, the price of corn fell day by day, which made him worried. "according to the cost estimate, I will lose money if the corn is sold at less than 2 yuan per kilogram this year. If I sell it at a low price now, more than 1 million yuan will be wasted." Li Qingwu said that he had a meeting with some major grain growers around him and decided not to sell it for the time being in order to avoid losses, hoping that there would be an improvement in the future. However, they say it is risky to do so, and the losses will be even greater if the market does not improve. But this is the end of the matter, and now we can only "gamble".
Why is it difficult to sell jade rice? The reporter learned in Suzhou that, unlike the general purchase of supporting the market in summer, in the acquisition of corn, only the northeast region has the purchase of supporting the market. This autumn, the state-owned grain station in Suzhou does not buy farmers' corn. In the past, farmers' corn sales were mainly through deep processing enterprises of agricultural products such as Fengyuan Chemical and Ante Wine. However, these enterprises either did not start work or greatly reduced their purchases this year because of the economic downturn. Many aquaculture enterprises and farmers have also reduced the scale of farming. What is more serious is the impact from imported corn. A person in charge of a wine company in Suzhou revealed that the landed price of imported corn this year is less than 1.2 yuan per kilogram, and the growth cycle of these corn is long, and the quality of these corn is better than that produced by farmers in the province. In the past, agricultural products processing enterprises and large feed factories that mainly digested local corn were more willing to purchase this kind of cheap and high-quality imported corn.
In today's rural villages, most farmers do not have storage and drying conditions in their homes, and corn must be sold as soon as possible after harvest. Many people have to go out to work as soon as they finish their farm work, so they can't afford to waste time. Large growers are in urgent need of funds to invest in agricultural production in the next season. if the unsalable pressure exceeds their bearing capacity, it will easily lead to a substantial increase in the default rate of land transfer, and it will be the farmers who transfer the land directly. In the interview, farmers are eager for government departments to come out of the stage as soon as possible, and they also hope that the media can call on grain purchasing enterprises and agricultural products processing enterprises to come and help farmers tide over the difficulties.
