Last Updated: 2024/11/22, (1) according to the consumption habit, the sales of farmed dog meat is greatly affected by the season, the seasonal consumption is strong, and the market demand is different in different regions. On the one hand, because of the popular habit of eating dog meat in winter in our country, the sales volume in spring, summer and autumn is small, resulting in meat.

(1) breeding according to consumption habits

The sales of dog meat is greatly affected by the season, the seasonal consumption is strong, and the market demand is different in different regions. On the one hand, because of the popular habit of eating dog meat in winter, sales in spring, summer and autumn are small, resulting in a large backlog of meat dogs and increasing breeding costs. On the other hand, under the influence of national customs, there are many places where there is no habit of eating dog meat, consumer demand is limited, and the dog meat market needs further guidance.

(2) think twice before introduction

The profits mentioned by the breeders are calculated on the basis of meat breeders. For example, in terms of commodity production and the increasing popularity of meat dogs, whether each group of meat dogs will still have a profit of several thousand yuan. Farmers still need to think about it before raising meat dogs on a large scale. Under normal circumstances, the price of meat dogs will decline after large-scale production, and the profits now expected will be difficult to achieve. As an emerging special breeding industry, meat dog industry has a certain market potential and will continue to develop, but due to the limitations of meat dog breeds, feed, breeding technology, market demand and other aspects, meat dog industry can not be blindly involved in order to avoid unnecessary economic losses.

(3) the environment of the kennel should be good.

The kennel should be quiet and dry, well drained, ventilated and sunny, warm in winter and cool in summer. Generally, it is best to build a fence in orchards and mulberry orchards (you can also use empty houses, pig pens, sheep pens, etc.). Generally, the area of each column is 10-12 square meters, with a height of not less than 1.5 meters. Kennels should be equipped with disinfection pools, sewers and other facilities and places for meat dog activities and sun exposure.

(4) introduction should be investigated in many ways.

As a result of raising dogs heating up too fast, it is inevitable to "stir-fry dogs" phenomenon, resulting in uneven quality of dog seedlings, a great loss. Therefore, after going to the introduction site, we should not be afraid of trouble to investigate in many ways. First of all, we should make an on-the-spot investigation to several large and formal meat dog farms or bases to see whether the scale of the dog farm, the number of basic breeds of dogs, the operating license, the technical force, the archival records of dog materials and whether the base has the ability to recycle products, and so on. Then according to their own financial resources, material resources, technical level, to determine the scale of breeding and the number of introduction.

(5) choose good varieties

Meat dogs must gain weight, have a large body, produce more meat and have good meat quality in order to achieve good economic benefits. At present, most of the dogs used for meat production are binary or ternary hybrid dogs with local rhubarb dogs and big black dogs as female parents and large dogs such as shepherds, Japanese wolves, blackbacks and Great Dane as male parents, which can only be regarded as the use of heterosis. Therefore, when introducing breeds, we should look at the archives and pedigree records; second, we should look at the individual size and production performance of parents; third, we should look at the development and posture characteristics of puppies.

(6) introduce an appropriate amount and develop steadily

As the current meat dog market capacity is very large, so do not rush forward, should act according to capacity, first a small amount of introduction, breeding for a period of time after the initial mastery of breeding technology, and then expand the breeding scale, so as to avoid major losses caused by technical errors.

(7) outward transportation after one week of immunization

After some people have bought their puppies, they have to watch the vaccination in person before loading the car, and they also ask to be injected with five or six vaccines, thinking that the more vaccinations, the better. In fact, the immunity of dogs does not develop until seven days after vaccination. if injections are given before loading, it will lead to infectious diseases and losses due to stress factors such as long-distance transportation and environmental changes, especially carrying bacteria (virus). In addition, because the immune function of puppies is not perfect, the effect of multi-vaccine injection is not good, and can not produce a complete immune response. The routine immunization procedure should be as follows: the first immunization of 42-45-day-old canine distemper single vaccine (the best dog warm inactivated vaccine and attenuated vaccine), the second immunity of 52-55-day-old triple vaccine (canine distemper, parvovirus, transmissible gastroenteritis), and the third immunity of 62-65-day-old rabies vaccine. In order to increase the resistance of puppies, triple vaccine can be injected at 45 days of gestation to increase the concentration of maternal antibodies. Therefore, foreign breeding dogs should be shipped one week after the first exemption.

(8) to prevent the death of a large number of puppies

One of the main reasons for the death of a large number of puppies is due to poor body resistance, coupled with environmental changes, long-distance transportation, high temperature and cold, continuous rain or improper epidemic prevention (mostly canine distemper). Therefore, in the introduction, do not buy puppies weighing less than 3.5 kg, because the cheap purchase of puppies has caused the total annihilation of a large number.

(9) strengthening the management of transport

Before introduction, you should first read the dog breeding materials or practice in the introduction farm for a few days, in order to master the basic knowledge of breeding management and feed formula. During the transportation, you should feed the formula feed provided by the breeding farm to avoid stress caused by the sudden change of feed; stop regularly to feed and drink water, but not too full; pay attention to prevent heatstroke in summer and thief wind in winter, and do a good job of cleaning, ventilation and light transmission in the car. After arriving at the destination, do not rush to increase meat, do not immediately eat a large number of food, should be limited to feed for 2-3 days, feed to add related drugs (puppies do not use norfloxacin) replacement of self-ingredients should be carried out gradually.

(10) careful management of the breeding period

The temperature of the kennel should be controlled below 35 ℃ in summer and above 12 ℃ in winter, and the relative humidity should be 50% 60%. Clean the kennel once a day and train meat dogs to defecate at a fixed point. The puppies were vaccinated with the five-combination vaccine three times in that year, and then strengthened once a year. Norfloxacin powder or allicin were added to the feed every one month or so to prevent common diseases such as enteritis and colds in meat dogs. Do frequent observation, frequent examination, appetite observation, fecal examination.
