Last Updated: 2024/11/05, In the case that there is a source of water but it is not suitable to build a pond, Loach can be cultivated in wooden cases and can be harvested in half a year, 15 kilograms per box. 1. The specification of wooden case is 1m, 1m, 1.5m, and the space capacity is 1.5m 3. One or both sides are provided with a diameter of 3 cm and 4 cm in diameter at the injection and discharge outlets.

In the case of water source and not suitable for pond construction, loach can be cultured in wooden boxes, and it can be harvested after half a year. The loach yield in each box is 15~20 kg.

1. The wooden box production specification is 1 m ×1 m ×1.5 m, and the space capacity is 1.5 m 3.

One side or both sides are provided with injection and drainage openings with a diameter of 3 - 4 cm, and a metal mesh with a diameter of 2 mm is installed. Fill the bottom with manure and soil (or a layer of straw and a layer of soil), and the top layer is soil. Keep the water depth in the box about 30~50 cm. Wooden boxes can be placed where the sun is running so that water can flow in through one hole and out through the other. Several boxes can be linked together to make joint production.

2. The stocking density can be 1~1.5 kg for loach species longer than 3 cm in each box.

3. feeding management

Loach is omnivorous fish, wooden box running water breeding loach, mainly artificial feeding. The bait has fish meal, animal viscera, pig blood powder, bean cake, wheat bran, sauce, rapeseed cake and other plant bait. The compound bait consists of wheat flour 50%, bean cake powder 20%, rice bran powder 10%, fish meal or silkworm chrysalis powder 10%, blood powder 7%, yeast powder 3%. Add water into the compound feed and knead it into lump bait, and the feeding amount is 1%~2% of the weight of loach in the box. Loach appetite and water temperature, according to the season and temperature adjustment of animal and plant feed ratio and feeding amount, water temperature below 20℃, plant feed should account for 60% to 70% of the total. When the water temperature is 23℃~28℃, the plant feed should account for 30%~40%. Generally, it is fed twice a day, 70% of the feed amount of the whole day is fed at 7~8 a.m., and 30% is fed at 1~2 p.m. The water temperature is 15℃, and the feeding amount gradually increases with the temperature increase, generally 7%~8%. If the water temperature is higher than 30℃ or lower than 10℃, it should be less or stopped.

4. loach disease control

In order to prevent loach disease, quicklime and bleaching powder should be used to disinfect the box regularly while ensuring the quantity and quality of bait. Once the intestine is found to be sick, 20 grams of furazolidone can be put into 10 kilograms of bait, fed twice a day for 3 to 5 days. Red fin disease is very harmful to loach. After loach is infected with this disease, its fins, abdominal skin and anus are congested, ulcerated, caudal fins and pectoral fins are white and rotted. Once this disease is discovered, the loach body should be immediately immersed in tetracycline solution of 0.1/10000 concentration for 1~2 hours or in furazolidone solution of 0.2/10000 concentration for 24 hours. Or 0.04%(drug to fish weight ratio) of furanax mixed with bait continuously fed for 3 days. If water mold is found, the diseased loach can be soaked in 4% saline solution for 5~10 minutes, or 4×10-6 copper sulfate solution for 20~30 minutes. If parasitic diseases are found, 0. 7 ×10-6 copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate (5∶2) can be mixed and sprayed all over the box to prevent and control cartilaginous worm and tongue cup worm disease.

5. Note: When it rains, it is necessary to prevent the water from overflowing from the box, which causes the loach to escape, and to prevent pesticides and fertilizers from polluting the water into the box.
