It is very necessary for chickens to take measures such as isolation, elimination or medication in time after the onset of the disease. However, because the disease will also lead to physiological dysfunction, so their ability to adapt to the environment and nutrient requirements have changed. If it is treated by strengthening the feeding management at this time, it will get twice the result with half the effort.

1. Feed. After the disease, chickens often have elevated body temperature and metabolic disorder, which requires that the nutrients and their content in the feed, as well as the feeding methods should be more scientific. First, according to the reduction of feed intake of chickens, the energy level of feed was increased to 1.1-1.2 times of the normal level. Second, the content of vitamin An and B vitamins in the feed was increased to 2-3 times of the normal level, and the content of vitamin E was increased to 5-10 times of the normal level. At the same time, appropriate amounts of vitamin C and vitamin D3 were added to the feed of diseased chickens. The third is to appropriately reduce the content of fat in feed. The fourth is to increase the number of troughs and sinks and the number of feeding. If possible, the feed raw material can be processed into pellet feed or the feed can be wet and fed to stimulate chicken intake. Fifth, keep the feed clean and hygienic to prevent mildew.

2. Drink water. During the onset of the disease, chickens must ensure the normal supply of drinking water, and the water in the drinking fountain should be adequate and clean. If the drug is given in the drinking water, first of all, the drug that is soluble in water should be put in and stirred well, and then the dosage should be calculated according to the actual amount of drinking water of the chicken to ensure that the drug will be completely drunk by the chicken within the period of validity. Generally speaking, the water should not be cut off before administration.

3. Management. During the onset of the disease, the ventilation of the chicken house should be increased to keep the air fresh. But in winter, we should pay attention to the heat preservation of the chicken house, and prevent the direct attack of the thief wind and cold wind on the chicken; in summer, we should try to reduce the temperature of the chicken house to prevent heat stress. Do not carry out aerosol immunization and disinfection of chickens when respiratory diseases occur in chickens.
