Garlic contains about 2% volatile oil, and its main ingredient is allicin. It is a kind of plant antibiotic, which can inhibit and kill pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Bacillus anthracis, mold, protozoa and so on. Active ingredients such as fat-soluble volatile oil in garlic can activate macrophages and enhance immunity and resistance. Therefore, garlic is effective in the treatment of white dysentery, coccidiosis and loss of appetite in chickens. At present, the methods used are:

① will peel and mash the garlic and feed it with 3 to 5 grams per chicken (about 50 grams per head of fresh garlic)

Garlic powder made from ② was added to adult chicken feed by 0.1%.

Garlic tincture made of ③ is sealed and set aside and diluted with water when feeding. Studies have shown that adding 1%-2% fresh garlic or 0.2% garlic powder to the diet of broilers can make the chicken more fragrant, eliminate the fishy smell in the meat of chickens after eating fish meal, and has no adverse effect on the growth of chickens. Adding 4% chopped garlic seedlings or 3% garlic powder to the diet of laying hens can increase the laying rate by 10% and 15%. Adding 1%-2% fresh garlic to the broiler feed one month before the market (taboo before the market), the disease resistance, feed conversion rate and growth rate were improved in varying degrees after one month, and the coat color was bright, the meat was fresh and tender after slaughter, the soup was fresh and fragrant, and the meat flavor was greatly improved. Garlic is indeed an excellent additive that is safe and pollution-free.
