In recent years, according to their different conditions, farmers in mountainous areas have built chicken sheds according to local conditions and raised different types of native chickens, which have received good social, ecological and economic benefits. The related techniques of raising native chickens in mountain greenhouse are introduced as follows:

Site selection

Chicken farms should be far away from the village, convenient transportation, north to the south, shelter from the wind and the sun, abundant water resources, easy to manage, in the shape of a pot mouth (small mountain pass, large hinterland) and a slope of less than 25 degrees. This kind of place is not only convenient for epidemic prevention of chicken diseases, but also convenient for the transportation of materials and products, so that chickens have a full range of activities and food sources, which is conducive to the growth of chickens.

Construction of greenhouse chicken house

The construction of the chicken house in the greenhouse is based on the principle of economy, convenience and flexibility, and local materials. Bamboo, wood strips (saw board scraps), plastic film, shading net, reflective paper and so on are the main building materials. Farmers who breed native chickens in mountainous areas generally build double-layer chicken sheds covering an area of 132 square meters. The chicken house is 22 meters long, 6 meters wide and 2.3-2.5 meters high. the internal structure is made of bamboo as a support frame and wood strips from the bottom of the saw board as planks to build a middle layer 0.6 meters above the ground and an upper layer 0.6 meters above the middle level. such a multi-shelf, dry and clean native rooster habitat. A two-story chicken shed with a total area of about 260 square meters (middle and upper two floors) can raise 3000,000 and 3500 native chickens in a batch.

Chick requirement

1. Chicks must be purchased from a regular production incubator with a production license. Select healthy chicks with flexible action, loud calls, smooth and shiny feathers, no navel nails and no pile. After coming out of the shell, they were vaccinated against Marek's disease and transported to the chicken coop within 24 hours. After entering the rearing room, chicks must be kept warm. 40 chicks per square meter (then gradually reduce the density), keep the room temperature in the range of 32 ℃ ~ 30 ℃, and then decrease by 2 ℃ per week. After 25 days, the chicks are released from the mountain and reared in the greenhouse at night. 2. The chicks drink water before feeding. Antibiotics and vitamins were added to drinking water for 3 days to enhance the physique of native chickens and improve disease resistance. 3. Chicks should be fed with full-price pellet feed.

Administration and Management

The free-range native chickens at the age of 30-50 days were raised and managed according to the growing period. According to the characteristics of wide feeding, rough feeding tolerance and fast growth of native chickens in this stage, we can feed more kinds of agricultural and sideline products, such as bean curd dregs, bran wheat, rice, corn, bean cake, rapeseed cake, soybean powder and other coarse feed, and properly increase the amount of trace elements. Feed ratio: cereals 55% 65%, plant legumes 15% 25%, bran 5% 10%, plus other feed. Do not feed animal feed.

Disease prevention and treatment

Although there are few diseases in raising native chickens in mountain greenhouses, the principle of comprehensive prevention and control must be implemented. According to the immunization procedure of native chickens, chicks must be subcutaneously injected with Marek's disease vaccine within 24 hours; Newcastle TV vaccine and Chuan Zhi H120 vaccine are given intranasally or drinking water at 7 days old; avian influenza vaccine is injected subcutaneously at 14 days old; attenuated infectious bursal disease vaccine and TV vaccine are given at 21 days old; 30-day-old chicken pox vaccine is inoculated into wings; 35-day-old infectious bronchitis H52 vaccine is used for drinking water. 45-day-old subcutaneous injection of avian influenza vaccine; 60-day-old intramuscular injection of Newcastle disease Ⅰ vaccine or inactivated vaccine; native laying hens were subcutaneously injected with avian influenza vaccine and combined vaccine of egg reduction syndrome, Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis 2 weeks before laying. In addition, according to the actual situation of stocking native chickens in mountainous areas, anti-coccidiosis drugs or traditional Chinese medicine should be used alternately at the age of 15-60 days to control coccidiosis, and insect repellents should be taken every other month before and after stocking. To control the occurrence of nematode disease in native chickens.
