Muscle white and turbid disease:

Etiology: temperature mutation is the main cause, the temperature is too high or too low; Vibrio infection or sporidia parasitic on muscle.

Symptoms: the muscles of the last two segments of the abdomen turn white and lose transparency, while some diseased shrimps turn white all over the body. Microscopic examination shows that the muscle is necrotic, the muscle fibers are disordered, and the striations are not clear. It is difficult to see sick shrimp on the surface of the pond, and there are dead shrimps at the bottom of the pond. The feeding is normal in the early stage. After death, the white and turbid muscles turn red first.

Prevention and control methods: in high temperature season, pay attention to maintain a certain water level; stocking density should not be too high; if diseased shrimp is found, within 6 hours, appropriate amount of fresh water should be added to lower the temperature to adjust the water quality; sprinkle hydantoin or iodine preparation in the whole pool, use 2rel for 3 times, and take vitamins internally.

Spastic disease

Etiology: caused by temperature, luminosity, pressure, disturbance and other stimuli.

Harmfulness: the abdomen of the diseased shrimp is bent to the ventral side, stiff, and cannot be straightened. In light cases, it only bends in the middle of the abdomen, and in severe cases, it bends the tail below the head and chest, and finally dies. The abdomen of diseased shrimp is slightly white, but not as opaque as muscle necrosis.

Preventive measures: high temperature season should pay attention to raise the water level; in high temperature and strong light, try not to catch or disturb shrimp; after the disease, add appropriate amount of new water can be restored.

However, if the sudden change in water quality caused by excessive addition of water at the same time as in this region leads to spasms and white necrosis of muscles, it is recommended that the concentration of salt should be added to 5/1000, and the shrimp will return to health.
