The so-called thrush pecking disease means that a small number of thrushes cause birds to bite off part of their tail feathers or wing feathers and back feathers one by one due to various reasons (some are called self-biting disease). As a result, the tail feathers are sometimes pulled bare, uneven and unattractive. However, it has been observed that the thrush that makes this kind of disease is normal in all parts of the body, there is no special disease, and most of them do not affect the bird's singing. According to the analysis of some experts, this bad phenomenon may be caused by the following two reasons: (1) it may be that the feathers and various parts of the body have been contaminated by bird feces for a long time, which makes the bird itchy and uncomfortable, or it is caused by the infection of mites, bird lice and other parasites on the body of thrush birds. (2) it may be due to the lack of certain elements in bird feed, such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, amino acids, salt and vitamins. In addition, some thrushes often break their tails in cages (some are called crispy finches), which is mainly caused by the collision of tail feathers with cages and utensils when thrushes like to jump in cages. The prevention and treatment of thrush hair pecking disease is to let the thrush take a bath and thoroughly remove the feces and dirt from the birds; the second is to use insecticides to kill the parasites on the birds, thoroughly clean the cage devices, disinfect and expose them to the sun. In addition, in the preparation of bird feed, according to the scientific proportion of allocation, nutrition should be comprehensive, especially trace elements indispensable.
