Teach you how to select and raise thrushes
The thrush is actually a very cute bird. The thrush is named because it has a white circle in its eyes and extends from the upper corner of the eye to an eyebrow. Keeping songbirds in captivity is the best for thrushes. Because of its gorgeous and beautiful posture, graceful cry and wonderful name, people like to keep it.
How to choose a thrush
Thrushes are mostly produced in Yungui, especially in Kaili, Guizhou. Thrushes can be selected based on the following points:
1. Eyebrow line. There are many kinds, corresponding to the different temperament of the bird, the bigger the difference between the eyebrow line and the head color, the better, that is to say, the clearer the eyebrow line, the better.
2. Eyes. The eye of the thrush is like a crystal, the transparency is good, but it is not good if it is a little cloudy.
3. Hair. Be thin and tight, not fluffy.
4. It's body type. It is appropriate to be big rather than small, and do not choose those small thrushes that look fragile.
5. The mouth. No seams can be exposed when closed.
6. it is the tail, and the feathers on the tail are folded like a folding fan rather than open like a peacock.
7. Leg color. It is best to choose yellow or white.
What kind of thrush should be chosen to raise?
Thrushes of different ages have different names. The nestling that has not left the nest soon after hatching is called "nest chick"; when its feathers grow up, it is called "soft hair"; after moulting, it is called "Qi Mao"; and the adult bird after the second wind is called "Lao Mao".
Choose a thrush to pick a male. In terms of bird age, it is best to raise "soft hair" (which has not been changed for a year or so). It is not easy to raise too big or too small; from the point of view of hair color, cyan ones are more general, red ones are less and precious; mouths and claws should be yellow; eyebrows should be white and wide, ends should be turned up; eyes should be big and clear and bright, and eyeballs should be green. The quality of the call is an important standard to measure the thrush, to call chest high head, tail drooping, voice, crisp, loud, tactfully beautiful, and can call a lot of tricks for good birds. Brow nature is competitive, if you encounter a hand-to-hand singing contest, they will not show weakness to each other, and will not stop wearing clothes until they are tired to death. When this happens, the breeders should control it.
Feeding technique of thrush
The feeding of the thrush is different from that of other birds, because it likes to live in the dense forest and is impatient, so when the new thrush begins to raise birds, regardless of whether they are young or adult birds, the cage must be dressed in a cage (that is, covered with a layer of dark cloth). Artificial simulation of the dark light conditions in the dense forest, it will settle down. To be gradually tamed and then changed into the "bright cage", Liangpang change needs to be covered with cages, so that it can develop the habit of taking off the cages and singing.
The thrush likes cleaning very much and likes water bath very much, so it has to take a water bath every day, no matter in spring, summer, autumn or winter. Only in the freezing weather and feathering period, the thrush stops bathing for a few days. The feed for thrushes is relatively simple. Feed some fried rice with eggs every day, and then give some insects such as skin worms, locusts, oil gourds and so on. When feeding insects, remove the insect head; if there are no insects, you can also use cooked shrimp, raw beef or shredded lean meat instead. In addition, clean drinking water should be provided every day.
In the process of domestication, thrushes will raise their heads, jump on both feet, tread on vats and so on if they are frightened too much. The thrush wants to "rush", the more "rush", the more she likes to scream. The so-called "rush" means that the bird must be taken to the open field every morning or evening to take a stroll in the garden (or park) so that it can come into contact with the natural scenery and quiet air. The feeding of thrushes has something to do with the diligence and laziness of Chong. Like choosing a good thrush horse, a person with an impatient temper is often a good bird.
Methods of training and domestication of thrushes
To train thrushes, you must first be patient and learn to master the methods and skills of domestication.
First, the feeding and domestication of the nestling: the player divides the nestling into three stages: nestling, soft hair, and neat feather. the newly born chick is called nestling, and the feather is called soft feather, and the neat hair is called after changing hair. In these three periods, birds are the most gentle and not afraid of strangers, and are easy to raise. Skipping these three periods is not the ability of those who are new to the brow.
Second, the training of adult birds: after eight or nine months in the wild, the chicks have full wings and can choose a mate to move and live an independent life. The bird at this time is called Tiaozhi because it is often jumping about on the branch. As a matter of fact, it is a fully mature adult bird, and the older and stronger it gets, the better it sings, but it is also harder to tame. Every time they meet a stranger, they break and kiss and jump endlessly. Even so, most players like to use this bird age to train.
Each thrush has a different personality and receptive ability, so it needs to be treated differently when domesticated. In addition to having enough patience and good temper, trainers should also be prepared for long-term domestication. Only by perseverance can high-quality thrushes be domesticated.
If they are wild thrushes in the mountains, it is really difficult to tame, because they are used to flying freely in the woods all day long, but the thrushes we usually buy in bird shops are relatively clever, because they have been caged since childhood and have been tamed by humans since childhood, so if you are interested in raising thrushes but do not have bird-raising skills, it is best to go to a professional bird store to buy!

Prevention and treatment of hair pecking disease of cultured thrush
The so-called thrush hair pecking disease means that a small number of thrushes cause birds to bite off part of their tail feathers or wing feathers and back feathers one by one due to various reasons (some are called self-biting disease). As a result, the tail feathers are sometimes pulled bare and curled.
