(1) keep a quiet environment

The newly captured thrushes are wild, do not adapt to life in the cage, appear restless, desperately want to escape, but also afraid of seeing people, so one bird and one cage should be raised separately to prevent casualties caused by pounding and pecking each other. In order to keep it quiet as much as possible, the thrush of the beginner's cage should be covered with a cage, with 1/3 cages exposed at the lower end of the cage to maintain light transmission and air circulation, and put the caged bird in a place where it can see people but do not touch people, and maintain a quiet environment, which is conducive to its emotional stability and gradual approach to people.

(2) feeding can only be half full.

In the initial stage, it should choose its favorite food to feed it, so that it has a sense of intimacy and identity. But you can't feed too much and stay semi-hungry at any time. If he is overfed, he does not want to stay in the cage, but only wants to escape, which is not conducive to him gradually settling down to adapt to the new environment.

(3) insist on sending birds every day

Every morning, take the caged bird to a quiet and open garden park or forest, expose it to the natural environment, receive fresh air, and create opportunities to learn from other birds, which is good for their health and singing.

(4) keep bathing regularly

Thrushes like water baths, so often give it a bath, especially in the hot summer, should let it wash once a day. Bathing is generally arranged at noon on a sunny day, the water temperature is about 35 ℃, especially during molting, feathers are easily drenched, must be washed with warm water to prevent catching a cold, especially in the cold season, must be bathed in the wind and warm sun, and let it dry in time after washing. Water bath method: put the birdcage in the water basin, the water in the basin can not be filled, and its depth should not exceed the stumbling part when the bird is standing. Thrushes will be very excited to see the water, they will take a bath with their mouth, do not hold the bird and give it a forced bath, so that because of J cold, they will not take a bath on their own.

(5) do a good job in heat preservation and heat prevention

If the temperature is low in winter, the birdcage can be kept indoors. The room temperature can be kept at 10Mel 15T during the day and at 6-8cC at night. Let birds bask in the sun as much as possible in winter, which not only warms the body, but also increases calcium absorption. In summer, the birdcage should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, pay attention to heat prevention and cooling, to prevent heat stroke.

(6) strengthen molting nursing

During molting and estrus, thrush is in a special stage of physiological change. in addition to increasing the main feed, it is also necessary to increase the amount of animal feed to promote the growth of new feathers. if the nutrition can not keep up, it will prolong the moulting period and affect the development of the next stage. At the same time, do not encounter birds during molting, do not let birds too close to the flock, prevent fighting, try to keep birds in a quiet environment and appropriately reduce their singing time, so as not to consume too much physical strength. But we can't let it stop screaming at all, otherwise it's easy to forget. Thrushes are excited and love to cry when they are in estrus. If they hear a hoarse call, they should put down their cages and let them rest. In addition, during this period of time, do not let the males hear the calls of the females, otherwise some males will be excited and sing incessantly, and finally die of energy exhaustion.

(7) pruning the mouth peak in time

Thrush mouth peak is too long will affect pecking, and may even be broken. Therefore, attention should be paid to observation and pruning immediately if it is found to be too long. When trimming, you can gently grasp the thrush in your hand to make the bird lie on its back, then grasp the bird's beak and claws with its index finger and thumb, use light to cut off the transparent part, and file it with your fingernails.
