Last Updated: 2024/11/09, Mandarin fish ciliosis generally occurs between the first day of hatching and the body length of 5-8 cm. When the water temperature is 20 ℃-27 ℃, parasites such as rotifers are often parasitized on the body surface of mandarin fish. Before 3 cm, they are mostly distributed in the whole body and mouth of mandarin fish, and after 3 cm, they are concentrated in the mouth.

Mandarin fish ciliosis generally occurs between the first day of hatching and the body length of 5-8 cm. When the water temperature is 20 ℃-27 ℃, rotifers and other parasites are often parasitized on the body surface of mandarin fish. Before 3 cm, they are mostly distributed in the whole body and mouth of mandarin fish; after 3 cm, they are concentrated in the mouth, Gill, fin and tail, and the number of parasites shows a decreasing trend; when the water temperature is above 27 ℃, the number of parasites increases, generally parasitic on the body surface and Gill. When the parasitic number of ciliates is small, it has little effect on the fish's body activity; when the parasitic number is large, the fish eats less, and the serious ones refuse to eat, and the diseased fish's head is visible with gray spots, the mouth is open and cannot be closed, the body is out of balance and sinks or rolls in the water, and then dies. The disease spreads rapidly, and the number of wheel worms on each fry can increase from a few to 40-50 in only one day and night. it is one of the main diseases in the process of summer flower cultivation of mandarin fish.

Prevention and control methods:

1. In the convection pool, sprinkle the whole pool with 3% salt water once a day and stop water for 3-5 minutes, which can play a role in prevention and treatment.

2. Sprinkle the convective pool with the mixture of 1.6PPM copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate (5:2) and stop the water for 3-5 minutes, and sprinkle the whole pool with the mixture of 0.7PPM copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate (5:2) in the static pool.

3. When the mandarin fish summer flower goes down the pond, wash the diseased fish with 2% salt water for 2 minutes.
