Whether it is laying hens or broilers, light is very important. But the requirements for light conditions are different: broilers are raised, as long as the light can meet the requirements of eating and drinking water, so that broilers can eat, drink, sleep well and gain weight; in the breeding stage of laying hens, the appropriate light condition is the necessary condition for laying eggs, especially in the later stage, light is more important to it. Light can not only promote the sexual maturity of chickens, but also benefit the high yield of laying hens. Therefore, the light time and intensity should increase with the growth of chickens. In order to ensure the high quality and high yield of laying hens, attention should be paid to the following points in the light management of laying hens:

1. Increase the light intensity.

Above the aisle between two rows of chicken cages, install a 40'60 W incandescent bulb every 3 meters 2.5 meters above the ground, so as to shine on each chicken and eliminate the dead corner of the chicken coop.

2. Establish the lighting procedure.

According to the current day age of the flock, the lighting procedure is established, which first determines the light hours as 12 hours, then increases the light time by 0.5 hours per week until it is increased to 16 hours per day, and no longer increases the light time. Fix the light time to 16 hours.

3. Keep the bulb clean.

The chicken house light bulb should be kept clean and wiped frequently so as not to affect the light intensity and reduce the lighting effect of the chicken house.
