Five key points of River Crab Culture in Autumn

As the saying goes, "the autumn wind is loud and the crab's feet are itchy." This means that when autumn comes, crabs begin to come ashore, which is generally a sign of sexual maturity. Therefore, this is a critical period of the year for crab farming, and a small detail determines the success or failure of crab farming. Personally, I think we should start with the following details at this time to ensure a bumper harvest after more than half a year of hard work.

First, strengthen the management of pond patrol: persist in patrolling the pond every morning and evening, carefully check the escape prevention facilities, increase the intensity of pond patrol at night, pay close attention to the weather, pay close attention to the landing of river crabs, catch temporary cultivation and sell them at the right time.

Second, the maintenance of water plants: in autumn, many water plants will rot, so they should be removed in time to avoid spoiling the water quality and breeding germs; you can transplant some water hyacinth, water lilies, etc., and surround them with ropes or bamboo poles, covering the pond surface not less than 1amp 3 to provide a good habitat for crabs.

Third, do a good job in water quality improvement: after autumn, the temperature decreases, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the water quality is easy to deteriorate. You should change the water every 7-10 days, not less than 10cm each time, keep the water depth at 1.2m, control the transparency in 35cm, adjust the PH value of the water, and sprinkle the whole pool with 10-15ppm quicklime every 10-15 days to promote the growth of river crabs.

Fourth, rational feeding: during the critical period of formal fattening and listing of river crabs after autumn, we should appropriately increase the feeding of high-protein bait, such as bean cakes, soybeans, small miscellaneous fish, snails, and so on, in order to make use of crabs to accumulate physical energy, twice a day, and the daily feeding amount is 5% and 8% of crabs.

Fifth, do a good job in disease prevention and control: after autumn, the temperature difference between day and night is large, which is easy to cause river crab colds and indigestion, usually pay attention to deepen the water level, the temperature difference of water should not be more than 3 ℃, and the area of phytoplankton on the surface should not be greater than 1 ℃ 2; give high-quality protein feed and nutrients to enhance the physique of the crab.
