At present, the river crab is shedding its shell for the last time and entering the stage of fattening and rapid weight gain. At this time, feeding management should pay attention to the following points:

Attach importance to the problem of water quality

At this stage, although the water temperature has dropped, the storage capacity of river crabs, fish and shrimp in the pond is at a high level, and the amount of dissolved oxygen consumed is surging. In addition, the requirement of dissolved oxygen for river crabs in the shelling stage is much higher than that in the normal growing period. Sufficient dissolved oxygen is needed in the pond water. At the same time, the aquatic plants in the pond enter the aging stage, broken limbs and rotten grass appear from time to time, which will also corrupt the water quality. Therefore, at this time, we should pay more attention to the problem of water quality, cut off part of the water plants and remove the residual grass in time, so as to effectively increase the water space.

Second, strengthen feed input and feeding

Shelling, fattening and rapid weight gain of river crabs all need to supplement a large amount of nutrients, especially the feeding of animal nutrients is more important. To increase the feeding of small miscellaneous fish or marine fish, ingredients should also increase protein content, but also pay attention to the supplement of calcium nutrients.

Pay attention to abnormal phenomena

The last shelling of the river crab is often concentrated in the female crab, and the male crab begins to shell relatively after a week, which is a normal phenomenon. Farmers should patrol the pond 2-3 times a day to observe the feeding and activities of river crabs and the shelling of river crabs. If they find that river crabs fail to shed their shells, they should carefully analyze the causes, or water quality problems, or insufficient nutrition, and so on. Timely detection, timely elimination, and timely remedial measures should be taken to ensure that river crabs shed their shells for the last time and fatten and gain weight quickly, so as to increase production and improve breeding efficiency.
