Only East Asian migratory locusts and rice migratory locusts can be used as food. These two kinds of grasshoppers are nutritious, fresh and tender, and taste as delicious as shrimp. Grasshoppers are dioecious, oviparous, and reproduce two generations a year, namely summer locusts and autumn locusts.

Management of grasshopper culture

The starting development temperature of the grasshopper is 15 ℃, the highest development temperature is 40 ℃, the suitable development temperature is 25-32 ℃, the air relative humidity is 85%-92%, and the soil moisture is 15%-18%. Less than 14 ℃ or more than 40 ℃, the grasshopper stops eating and dies. When the temperature is 2830 ℃, the grasshopper eggs hatch. First prepare non-toxic soil and mix sawdust with 1 ∶ 2, with a water content of 20% to 30%. Spread 3 centimeters of soil in utensils, spread grasshopper eggs on the soil, and cover 1 centimeter of mixed soil. The cover film of utensils should be checked every half day. After finding the grasshopper, use a soft brush to put it on the food in the shed. The incubation was completed in 10 to 15 days. Small grasshoppers like to eat fresh and tender wheat seedlings, corn seedlings, weeds and other monocotyledonous plants, the food intake is very small. 1-and 3-year-old grasshoppers should pay attention to rain protection. At the age of 27 ~ 35 days, it is an adult. During this period, the skin was molted once every 5 to 7 days, for a total of 5 times.

Each grasshopper lays 70 eggs and 100 eggs. In the first year, the company built 4 sheds, and so far it has developed into 9 sheds, and the breeding speed is relatively fast. Grasshoppers like to live in groups and migrate, which are used to feed and reproduce eggs. Therefore, the grasshopper should be given appropriate artificial interference from Eclosion to before spawning to make it migrate in the shed, so as to improve the quantity and quality of spawning. The eggs laid should be covered with wheat bran, weeds and other heat preservation and moisturizing before freezing.

The economic value of grasshopper

The market prospect of grasshopper is very broad, containing high protein, the current market price is 20 yuan per jin. Each shed is 100square meters, 1 square meter can produce 2 jin, each shed can produce 200jin grasshopper, each shed income 4000 yuan, the benefit is very considerable.

Many people may not know its value, some people may only know that it is an insect, but grasshopper is still a very nutritious dish, as people pay more and more attention to eating, grasshoppers are also liked by more and more people, so its market demand is also slowly increasing.
