Although hedgehog is a wild animal, it is easy to raise and live in artificial breeding, with low cost and high benefit. The meat of hedgehog is delicious and the skin is a valuable medicine. Therefore, breeding hedgehogs is also a good way to get rich. The techniques of artificial and efficient breeding of hedgehog are introduced as follows:

1. Life habits. Hedgehogs are timid and easily frightened, happy and quiet, and afraid of light. Move slowly, usually go out at night and sleep during the day. Eat very little, not fastidious food, not easy to get sick.

2. Construction of garden house. The garden house should be built on one side of the courtyard, the root of the wall and other secluded places. First build a small garden with bricks, and the wall is about 1 meter high. Then build a small house of 5murmur10 square meters in the garden, with a tight roof and surroundings without leakage of Rain Water. The house is covered with soft hay and leaves for hedgehogs to make nests. Pile some mounds, random stones, bricks and so on in the other open space outside the garden, and you can also build a small rockery for hedgehog activities, food search and habitat. The area of the garden and house is determined according to the number of hedgehogs.

3. Feeding and management. Hedgehog is an omnivorous animal with strong adaptability. Insects, rats, aquatic products, snakes and frogs and other small animals, as well as a variety of livestock and poultry meat, offal and so on are its favorite foods. Its plant feed has corn, dried melon, wheat bran and so on. These feeds can be fed alone or with several combinations. A little salt should be added when feeding and can be fed once a day in the evening for feeding in the evening. Generally small hedgehogs each feed about 25 grams per day, medium hedgehogs each feed about 50 grams per day, and big hedgehogs each feed about 100 grams per day.

4. Breeding and reproduction. Hedgehog reproduction is usually natural mating between male and female. The female hedgehog crawls back and forth during estrus and has secretions in the vulva. Give birth after 60 days of pregnancy. About 5 babies are born at one birth, up to 8-10 at most. The survival rate of hedgehog is very high, which is 100% in several families. And not easy to get sick, especially strong vitality. The newly born hedgehog weighs about 15 grams. 15 days after delivery, open eyes, 25 days long teeth and can walk; 35 days or so can eat. The lactation period is 60 days. A hedgehog can weigh about 350 grams in about 100 days. This period is the fastest growing period, so it is necessary to raise and manage carefully.

5. Peeling and selling. Peel the skin off to dry and sell it directly to the local pharmaceutical purchase department.
