The purpose of sheep farm disinfection is to eliminate the pathogenic microorganisms that the source of infection spreads in the external environment, cut off the route of transmission, and stop the spread of the disease. The sheep farm should establish a feasible disinfection system and disinfect the soil, feces, sewage and fur on the floor of the sheep house regularly.

Sheep house

In addition to keeping the sheep house dry, ventilated, warm in winter and cool in summer, it should also be disinfected at ordinary times. It is generally divided into two steps: the first step is to carry out mechanical cleaning; the second step is to use disinfectant. The sheep house and sports ground should be disinfected once a week. The whole sheep house should be disinfected with 2% Murray, 4% sodium hydroxide or 1% 1800% 3000 100% sodium hydroxide.

Admission

The sheep farm should have a disinfection room, ultraviolet lights on both sides and roof walls of the room, disinfection pools on the ground, soaking 4% sodium hydroxide solution with sack slices or straw mats, admission personnel should change shoes, wear special overalls, and register.

The gate of the field is equipped with a disinfection pool, which is often sprayed with 4% sodium hydroxide solution or 3% peracetic acid, etc. The disinfection method is to dry the sprayer, spray the ceiling, walls and floor, then open the doors and windows for ventilation, wash the feed trough and utensils with clean water, and remove the smell of the disinfectant. If the sheep house has airtight conditions, when there are no sheep in the house, you can close the doors and windows, fumigate and disinfect with formalin for 12 to 24 hours, and then open the window for ventilation for 24 hours. The dosage of formalin is 25ml ~ 50ml per cubic meter of space, add the same amount of water, heat and evaporate. Under normal circumstances, the sheep shed is disinfected once a week and disinfected twice a year. The disinfection of the delivery room should be carried out once before lambing, many times at the peak of lambing, and once more after lambing. Sack tablets or straw mats soaked with 4% sodium hydroxide solution should be placed at the entrances and exits of sick sheep sheds and isolation houses to prevent the spread of pathogens.

Ground

10% bleach solution, 4% formalin or 10% sodium hydroxide solution can be used on the soil surface. Places where sheep carcasses caused by infectious diseases (such as anthrax) caused by Bacillus should be strictly disinfected. First of all, spray the ground with the above bleach solution, then dig up the topsoil about 30 cm, sprinkle with dry bleach and mix with the soil, and properly transport the topsoil out and buried.

Feces

There are many methods to disinfect sheep feces, and the most practical method is biological heat disinfection, that is, a dung yard is set up 100 ~ 200 meters away from the sheep farm, the sheep dung is piled up, sprayed with a small amount of water, covered with wet mud and sealed, and fermented for more than 30 days.

Waste water

The most commonly used method is to introduce the sewage into the treatment tank and add chemicals (such as bleach or other chlorine preparations) for disinfection, the dosage depends on the amount of sewage, generally 1 liter of sewage with 2 ~ 5 grams of bleach.
