Introduction of rhinitis in Rex rabbit:

Infectious rhinitis is one of the main infectious diseases in rabbits, with high incidence, strong infectivity, occurring in four seasons, susceptible to big and small rabbits, little effect of vaccine, difficult drug control, low cure rate, high recurrence rate and long course of disease. easy to worsen and secondary infection of other diseases, is one of the most stubborn diseases in production.

Related factors of infectious rhinitis in Rex rabbits:

The higher the feeding density, the higher the incidence.

In the rabbit cage level, the incidence of rhinitis in the upper layer was higher than that in the bottom layer.

The rabbit cage is located in a multi-row rabbit house, the incidence of rabbits placed near the wall is higher, especially the incidence of rabbits near the south wall is the highest in winter, and the incidence of rabbits placed in the middle is lower.

The incidence of outdoor cage was lower than that of indoor cage, and the incidence of small-scale family rabbit farm was lower than that of large-scale rabbit farm.

The incidence of meat rabbit was the lowest and that of hairy rabbit was the highest. This difference is mainly caused by heredity. Therefore, the feeding and management of wool rabbits and fur rabbits with poor disease resistance should be strengthened, and attention should be paid to the breeding of disease resistance.

The incidence of rhinitis increases with the increase of age, especially in the young rabbit stage, the infection rate and infection rate of rhinitis are the highest, and there is a high susceptibility in the transition period from young rabbit to young rabbit. It seems that in the stage of rapid growth and development of rabbits, the susceptibility to rhinitis is also high. To reduce the overall incidence of rabbits, we should start with small rabbits, pay close attention to young and young rabbits, and strictly control breeding rabbits.

Unstable seasonal temperature is easy to induce disease in rabbits. According to the investigation, the incidence of infectious rhinitis is the highest in winter, followed by autumn and spring, and the lowest in summer, but there is no significant difference among the four seasons. Winter cold current and dirty gas (mainly indoor breeding) can induce rhinitis and adversely affect the control of the disease.

Prevention and treatment of rhinitis in Rex rabbits:

Relevant professionals have treated infectious rhinitis with a variety of drugs, the results show that: a variety of drugs have a certain effect on infectious rhinitis, but can not eradicate the disease. The effect of nasoanal cleaning is the best.

Combined with the previous research results, we can sum up the following points:

1 Infectious rhinitis is the result of the joint action of many pathogens, such as Pasteurella multocida and Bordetella. These pathogens usually exist in the upper respiratory tract and tonsils of rabbits. In general, the carrying rate of rabbits is 50%-80%.

(2) most of the above pathogens are conditional pathogenic bacteria, and the incidence of infectious rhinitis is closely related to the level of management.

(3) the main environmental factor leading to infectious rhinitis in rabbits is the air quality in the rabbit house. The thicker the harmful gas, the higher the incidence of rhinitis. The factors affecting the concentration of harmful gases are feeding density, ventilation, improvement of equipment and cleaning of feces and urine.

(4) the prevention of infectious rhinitis should depend on the vaccine. According to the author's investigation, at present, the effect of Pasteurella multocida single vaccine is not ideal. If the Pasteurella multocida vaccine can be used, it is best to use the strain isolated from this rabbit farm to make a vaccine. The prevention has a certain effect, but there is no absolute assurance.

5 A large number of drugs are effective in the prevention and treatment of infectious rhinitis. Bianjing, a combination of Chinese and Western medicine, has the best effect, but it can not eradicate the disease. The recurrence rate depends on the improvement of the environment. Other methods recommend penicillin and streptomycin, 20-30,000 units per kg body weight, mixed intramuscular injection, twice a day for 3 consecutive days; gentamicin, 20,000 units per kg body weight, 3 times a day for 3 consecutive days; and kanamycin, 15 mg per kg body weight, twice a day for 3 consecutive days. Each kilogram of body weight was injected intramuscularly with 4 mg ofloxacin or 3 mg ciprofloxacin lactate twice a day for 3-5 days.
