Before putting it right, the dirty hair around the female rabbit's external reproductive organs should be cut off, the dirt around the vulva should be cleaned and disinfected. The age of sexual maturity of Rex rabbit is related to individual, feeding management, climate and so on. Sexual maturity usually occurs at the age of 4 months. And have the ability to reproduce, but not yet mature, reproduction too early, will affect their own development. Therefore, it is appropriate to postpone some time after sexual maturity, that is, when the age of 5 ~ 6 months and the weight reaches 3~4kg, it is appropriate to start mating.

Rex rabbit is a perennial animal in estrus. After sexual maturity, it is often in a state of estrus and can be mated at any time. Some scholars think that maternal immunity is periodic estrus, which lasts for 3-5 days every 8-9 days. The oestrus behavior of the female rabbit is mainly manifested as active and restless, pedaling on the hind legs, disorderly ploughing of the claws, loss of appetite, jaw friction equipment, strong sexual desire of the female rabbit and so on. False pregnancy means that female rabbits undergo mating and ovulation without fertilization, or form corpus luteum due to social flirting and cross-crawling stimulation of ovulation. The corpus luteum secretes luteal hormone and causes false pregnancy. False pregnancy also has pregnancy symptoms, such as refusing to match, abdominal enlargement, depilation, lactation and so on. After about 17 days, the corpus luteum degenerated, the secretion of progesterone decreased and the false pregnancy stopped.
