Yellow cattle is an inherent common cattle breed in China. The number of breeding heads in China ranks first among all livestock or cattle, and the breeding area is almost all over the country. It is mainly used for service in agricultural areas, milk in semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral areas, and milk and meat in pastoral areas. Their body shape and performance can be divided into three types due to different natural environment and feeding conditions: northern yellow cattle, Central Plains yellow cattle and southern yellow cattle. The representative breeds of Chinese yellow cattle are Qinchuan cattle, Nanyang cattle, Luxi cattle, Jinnan cattle and Yanbian cattle. So how to choose the fattening formula for yellow cattle?

1. The feed formula based on silage corn (wet weight): silage corn 80.8%, corn 17.1%, cottonseed cake 2.1%.

2. The feed formula based on distiller's grains (wet weight) (taking 300 kg growing beef cattle as an example): 1.5 kg of corn, 15 kg of fresh distiller's grains, 2.5 kg of cereal grass, 70 grams of urea, 30 grams of salt and 100 grams of additive premix. Due to the low degree of crude protein degradation of distiller's grains, it is easy to lead to the lack of degradable nitrogen in the rumen of cattle and decrease the digestibility of crude fiber. A better effect can be achieved by adding a certain proportion of urea to the diet of distiller's grains.

3. the formula of beef cattle weighing less than 300 kg in large-scale cattle farm: 61 kg of corn, 15 kg of wheat bran, 20 kg of cotton cake, 1 kg of salt and 1 kg of bone meal. Each cow has 100 grams of premix and 2 kilograms of concentrate per day, and roughage allows it to eat freely.

4. The fattening formula of beef cattle weighing more than 300 kg in large-scale cattle farm: 70 kg of corn, 13 kg of wheat bran, 15 kg of cotton cake, 1 kg of salt and 1 kg of bone meal. Each cow is fed 100 grams of premix per day, 3-3.5 kilograms of concentrate, and roughage allows it to eat freely.
