Catfish, same as catfish. There are many species, there are catfish (native catfish) big mouth catfish, moustache catfish (pond fish) leather beard catfish (Egyptian moustache catfish) Hakka commonly known as slippery fish. Catfish, animal kingdom-phylum Chordata-subphylum Chordata-Radioptera-Clariformes-Catfish-Catfish genus-catfish species. A total of 4 beards on the mouth, long and short, carnivorous, mostly wild, low requirements for water quality, can be farmed. The growth rate is fast, and some varieties can grow to be very large. Catfish breeding disease prevention is very critical, so what are the seven most common diseases of catfish? How to prevent and cure it?

The seven most common diseases of catfish are: 1 black body disease, 2 enteritis 3 air bubble disease, 4 water mold disease, 5 rotifer disease, 6 sporidiosis, 7 third generation disease.

Catfish blackbody disease

The diseased fish are blackened, emaciated, and stop eating. In severe cases, the fish often have their heads up and hang on the surface of the water until they die. After examination, there is a round red blood spot on the inside of the pectoral fin, the fin fester, and mildew spots appear on the back of its head. The disease is easy to be infected in the fry stage, and the disease is easy to occur when the food is insufficient and the water quality is not good.

Prevention and control: keep the water quality clean, do not use unfermented fertilizer; Chinese nutgall 2 g / m3 ~ 4 g / m3 throughout the pool, 30 g / L of raw lime water throughout the pool, once every other day, sprinkle 2 ~ 3 times.

Catfish enteritis

The diseased fish are thin and black, the abdomen is swollen, wander alone, gently press the abdomen, and there is a yellowish mucus flowing out of the anus. Abdominal water can be seen by laparotomy, intestinal wall congestion and inflammation, reddish purple, especially the hindgut, intestinal mucosal ulceration and exfoliation. The disease is caused by bacteria or viruses and mostly occurs from July to August. It mainly harms fish species and adults.

Prevention and treatment: use bleach to hang the basket during the onset season; sprinkle it in the whole pool with 1 g / m3 of bleach for 2 days.

Air bubble disease of catfish

The sick fish floats on the water, its abdomen is upside down, and there is an air bubble in its abdomen, so it cannot sink. The cause of the disease is mainly due to the application of too much unfermented organic fertilizer in the pond, or the aging water quality in the pond, too much blue and green algae in the water, oversaturation of gas in the water under strong light, and fish eating air bubbles by mistake.

Prevention and treatment: the transparency of the pond water is too small, it is not suitable to release fish fry; after the disease, new water is injected quickly, and sufficient live bait is given, which can make some fish fry discharge air bubbles and return to normal; for every 1 meter of water depth, sprinkle 1.5 kg ~ 2.0 kg salt on the whole pond after water, which has a certain effect.

Catfish water mildew

After the diseased fish was infected with water mold, its body surface appeared gray-white hyphae, shaped like cotton floc. After the mycelium gradually expanded, the fish swam abnormally, increased skin mucus, lost appetite, and finally emaciated and died. Most of the causes are injured in the process of fishing and transportation, or caused by cold frostbite.

Prevention and treatment: pay attention to the operation, do not hurt the fish, the water temperature of the overwintering pond should be controlled above 15 ℃, sprinkle with 1 mg of bleach per milliliter, and sprinkle with 0.4 ‰ salt and 0.4 ‰ baking soda mixture.

Catfish rotifer

Large rotifers are parasitic on the skin and fins, causing blackening, emaciation and slow swimming. Individual small rotifers gather at the edge and gap of the Gill and constantly slide on the Gill to stimulate the Gill tissue. In severe cases, the edge of the Gill filament turns white and rotten, and the diseased fish become dark and thin, leaving the group and swimming slowly near the edge of the pool. When a large number of parasites occur, the growth and development of juvenile fish are hindered or even die.

Prevention and cure: clean the pond thoroughly with quicklime, do not use unfermented organic fertilizer; wash the seedlings with 8mg / L cupric sulfate when dividing ponds, transferring ponds and overwintering; sprinkle all over the pond with 0.7g / m3 of cupric sulfate and ferrous sulfate (5 ∶ 2) mixture.

Cercosporidiosis of catfish

Cercosporidium sinensis is parasitic on the fin and skin of fish, causing gray-and-white dotted nodules or lumps in the fish. It mainly harms the seedlings cultivated in soil ponds.

Prevention and cure: remove excessive silt; kill spores in silt with quicklime; sprinkle trichlorfon with crystal trichlorfon of 0.3 g / m3 ~ 1.0 g / m3.

The third generation insect disease of catfish

Due to the movement of the third generation of parasitic fish, the body surface and Gill filaments of the fish are damaged, which can cause mass death when the fish secrete gray-white mucus. The disease mainly harms young catfish cultivated in soil ponds and spreads in the way of host or current. It is popular when the water temperature is about 20 ℃.

Prevention and cure: when the fish species enter the pond, they are washed with 2g / m3 ~ 3g / m3 trichlorfon; 90% of the crystal trichlorfon is sprinkled all over the pond; 0.10g / m3 ~ 0.24g / m3 trichlorfon and flour alkali mixture (proportion is 5:3) are sprinkled throughout the pool.
