Earthworms, commonly known as earth dragons, also known as eel, are representative animals of the annelid class Oligochaeta. Let's take a look at the techniques of raising earthworms in mulberry fields.

The choice of mulberry garden

At present, most of the existing mulberry gardens can be used as breeding grounds for earthworms, especially the sparse planting wide mulberry garden has a better effect. However, mulberry breeding earthworms still need to have the following conditions: 1, good ventilation, drainage, in order to adapt to the habit of maggots called dark, daytime and night out.

1. Avoid the mulberry field with noise, noise and vibration, so as to prevent maggots from escaping.

2. There must be adequate water sources, preferably groundwater.

3. Convenient transportation and easy operation.

Culture methods and methods

The main ways of earthworm culture are: pond culture, bed culture, basin culture, box culture and basket culture, trench culture, garden and field culture, greenhouse and indoor culture and so on. Mulberry maggot culture can be considered not only for the utilization of mulberry garden, but also for sericulture.

During the idle period of the shed and the full utilization of the equipment, field grooves should be used.

The way of combining breeding with greenhouse and box-type three-dimensional culture of silkworm.

1. The method of establishing culture trench in mulberry garden.

The culture ditch is established by alternate lines and used once a year, which not only facilitates the conventional technical management needs of sericulture and maggot culture, but also meets the requirement that maggot culture can not be replanted. When the trench is excavated in the center of the mulberry row, both sides are required to be separated from the mulberry 20cm, the soil dug out in the groove is placed around the groove, the ridge is wide and 15cm is tamped, one side of the groove is high 40cm, and the symmetrical side is high 20cm, the length of the mulberry row can be divided into seed group, reproduction group and production group.

2. The method of box-type and bed-type three-dimensional culture of silkworm in greenhouse and chamber.

This method can be used as an auxiliary method for raising maggots in mulberry garden, mainly from autumn silkworm rearing to spring silkworm rearing in the following year. Sericulturists can use shelves, plaques, anti-drying plastic films, furnaces (for heating in winter), and silkworm platforms used by big silkworms to cultivate maggots: the silkworm plaque should be covered with plastic sheeting before feeding, and the silkworm platform should wrap 20cm high with wood around before putting dung. At the same time, spread the plastic sheeting. 15 days before sericulture, maggots in the shed should be moved back to the mulberry garden, and the shed and utensils should be washed and sterilized for sericulture.
