3. Vaccination. In order to prevent abortion caused by infectious diseases, 5-6-month-old calves should be vaccinated with pig No. 2 or sheep No. 5 vaccine. Adult cows do test-tube agglutination test for brucellosis once or twice a year, and positive cows should be isolated; with the expansion of cattle herds and the frequent introduction of cattle, some new infectious diseases of dairy cows, such as infectious bovine rhinotracheitis and bovine viral diarrhoeal disease, also spread gradually, so vaccination should be considered.
