Beekeeping techniques in spring
Bees grow by collecting honey. But there is not always pollen in every season. And bees are afraid of the cold, if it is cold weather must keep the bees warm. In spring, when the temperature is relatively low and there is relatively little pollen, how should bees be kept?
Beekeeping techniques in spring
First, the shaking bee tightens the spleen
The cold weather in early spring or late spring will make bees vulnerable to low temperatures or cold waves, and the spawning circle is often difficult to rest because of freezing, which is very disadvantageous to bee spawning. During spring propagation, every two beehives were placed side by side, and in the windless evening, each colony was fed with sugar water (sucrose ∶ water is 1 ∶ 1) or 250ml of water honey. After 2 hours, when the bees are excited and scattered and the temperature in the box rises, the bees can shake and tighten the spleen. When tightening the spleen, only one spleen can be left, and all the excess spleen can be put forward, which can promote the queen bee to lay eggs quickly. Generally speaking, the queen bee can lay eggs within 1-3 days after tightening the spleen.
Second, seal the box and keep warm
Place a spleen in the center of the beehive after tightening the spleen, which is enough to protect the hive spleen. Put a partition on one side near the adjacent box, a partition on the other side, and heat preservation outside the board. The method of external thermal insulation is: mat the bottom of the box, fill weeds between the two beehives, keep warm with plastic sheeting, and cover the hive with plastic sheeting on rainy days or colder evenings, but be careful not to block the hive door. The nest door can be closed in the evening depending on the temperature.
3. Auxiliary feeding
After tightening the spleen, auxiliary feeding was carried out from the bottom of the box every night. Put sugar water or honey water into the bottom feeder. The first feeding can be more, generally feeding 350 million 400 milliliters per group, depending on the number of bees and the size of the spawning circle, it is appropriate to have a small amount of horned honey on the spleen. Feed frequently, once a night, can not be interrupted, feeding should not be too much.
Fourth, add powdered spleen
In the pre-spring stage, there is little natural pollen, when most queen bees begin to lay eggs, in order to ensure the supply of pollen in the colony and expand the spawning circle, it is necessary to add artificial pollen spleen (better if there is natural pollen spleen). Each spleen should be an empty nest on one side and a pollen chamber on the other. The method of adding spleen depends on the relationship between the spleen and the bees. The colony with a large number of bees will face inward on one side of the powder, and the colony with a moderate number of bees will face inward on one side of the nest. When the queen bee has laid eggs in the empty nest room of the artificial pollen spleen, and half of the artificial pollen of the first pink spleen is eaten, the second and third are added immediately next to the first pink spleen. In this way, the group potential develops rapidly, and the strong group can be obtained in time and put into production.
Matters needing attention when keeping bees in spring
1. Sunscreen: the top of the box must be covered with a wet cloth at noon.
2. Disinfection: control mites and kill insects with acaricides for 2-3 times. In sunny days and temperatures above 14 ℃, remove dead bees, wax residue, mildew and other dirt at the bottom of the box, and keep the bottom clean.
3. Heat preservation: in the low temperature season in early spring, cover the left, right and back of the beehive with a straw curtain, and put hay on the bottom of the box to keep warm. Measures such as shading and sprinkling are used in summer to create suitable temperature and humidity for colony production and reproduction.
4, honey: when raising bees, we should carefully choose the environment to prevent bee pesticide poisoning, affecting the quality of honey. To take honey in time, in the season of flowers in full bloom, you can take honey every 3-4 days.
Organize bee colonies to survive the winter
The main results are as follows: 1. After organizing the overwintering bee colony Frosts Descent, the colony potential of 12 overwintering bees was replaced with 6 large honey spleen with 2/3 covers of honey. Lower 2, upper 4, bee path 25 mm, and put the queen bee to be stored in the trunk. After the 4 honey spleen in the box, the middle nest spleen uses the iron gauze king cage to reserve the queen bee, the nest box puts 2 big honey spleen, 1 spleen 1 king, so that there are two layers of bees on each nest spleen. After the bee colony is clustered, the bee colony accounts for 2/3 of the nest spleen. The overwintering bee does not brew and process the overwintering feed, reduce the strain of the overwintering bee, preserve the strength, the overwintering bee has a long life span and is safe to overwintering.
2. After freezing the bee the Beginning of Winter, the bee colony began to form a cluster, and the bottom of the box was covered with plastic sheeting and sat on 10 cm thick chopped hay. In order to prevent rodent damage, the nest door is nailed with iron sheet into a low nest door with a height of 5 mm and a length of 3 or 5 cm, and the covering is all replaced by a screen cover. Reverse the box so that the nest door is facing back. generally, after turning the box, the nest door should face northwest. In order to prevent the temperature of the nest from rising, grass curtains should be used to cover the back wall of the hive. The Beginning of Winter to the Winter Solstice is the frozen bee stage, the day is warm and the night is cool, and the nest temperature should be controlled below 25 ℃. Overwintering bees unite in the nest between the boxes, ventilated and dry, relatively quiet, the nest door to the northwest, not stimulated by the sun, worker bees rarely come out of people, can successfully get through the frozen bee stage.
3. Bee colony overwintering from the Winter Solstice to the Beginning of Spring is the overwintering stage of bee colony. After the Winter Solstice, the highest temperature is below 6 ℃, the gauze cover should be replaced with cloth, and the two corners of the back should be folded for ventilation. Add a diaphragm to the side of the box. When the lowest temperature reaches minus 5 ℃, add a cotton pad on the cover of the box, pack outside the box, and wrap the upper, back, left and right sides of the box with straw curtains and plastic sheeting. The box packaging heats up slowly during the day, and plays a role of heat preservation at night and low temperature, which greatly reduces the temperature variation of the nest box and the activity of the colony, maintains the stability of the colony, saves feed, prolongs the life span of worker bees, reduces death, and the colony is safe to survive the winter.
What's the use of bees?
Honeybee is not only one of the important insects to improve the human environment, but also an important partner for human survival. It pollinates crops, fruit trees, vegetables, forage grass, Camellia oleifera and traditional Chinese medicine plants, and the yield can be increased several times to dozens of times. The honey it produces has high medicinal and nutritional value, it is a commonly used medical and health care tonic, the bee pollen it produces is also known as the "micro nutrition bank", and the royal jelly it produces is an advanced nutrition for human beings. it can not only enhance the physique and prolong life, but also treat chronic diseases such as neurasthenia, anemia and gastric ulcer, and its venom has curative effect on rheumatism and neuritis. Beeswax and propolis are the raw materials of light industry. Therefore, bees are indispensable and important partners for human survival.
In spring, add artificial pollen to the bee spleen and add sugar water or honey water. Because bees begin to lay eggs after the beginning of spring. The amount of feed must be guaranteed. Bees are very important to plants, and the honey they produce is very nutritious to everyone. Honeybee is not only one of the important insects to improve the human environment, but also indispensable.

Beekeeping was raised a long time ago. Beekeeping used to be a soil method, and the yield of honey was not very high. At present, the scientific cultivation of honey has a high yield.
