The cultivation of ricefield eel is a very popular breeding project nowadays, and the demand is also increasing day by day, but the resources are constantly decreasing because of the growth of demand, so that the market supply of eel falls short of demand, and there is a steady upward trend in price. In fact, sometimes eels make some ecological ponds at home, which can also be raised, and the economic benefits are also considerable.

How to raise eels at home

Eels are easy to raise and endure to death. Put it in the water tank at home, put a little water is enough, do not need soil or anything, water as long as slightly less than the eel, not too much, otherwise it is easy to suffocate from lack of oxygen. It's no problem to put it for a week. Pay attention to changing water every morning. If you don't feed it, you won't die, you'll just lose weight. In addition, I will also eat shrimp, fish, small screws and so on, depending on which kind of convenient you feed.

What does eel use to raise?

1. Choose ponds with good water quality, no pollution sources and less external interference. Bamboo is used to set up a bracket in the pond and fix the four corners of the cage on the bracket. A table is set up in each cage. Monopterus Albus has the habit of eating each other, so the stocking specifications are basically the same, generally 20 to 50 grams per tail.

2. The stocking time of Monopterus Albus should be in April, May, or August to September, in order to avoid the sexual maturity and breeding period of Monopterus Albus from mid-May to July. The most suitable temperature for the growth of ricefield eel is 24 to 28 degrees Celsius.

3. The eel should be fed at a fixed time, and the eel should be fed at 6: 00 to 8: 00 in the afternoon. The feed should be fresh, not Pythium spoiled feed. The feed should be washed before putting in, and then washed with 3 to 5 grams of salt for 10-20 minutes per cubic body of water, then rinsed with clean water before feeding. Generally choose freshwater small miscellaneous fish, the daily feeding quantity is 3% of the total weight of rice field eel in the cage. 5%.

4. In artificial feeding, due to the feeding of a large amount of feed, the excrement of Monopterus Albus is easy to pollute the water quality, so it is necessary to add new water frequently to keep the water quality fresh. Change the water every 7-10 days in spring and 3-5 days in summer.

5. The cage should also be disinfected regularly, using 10 grams of bleached and powdered water per cubic meter of water and sprinkling it in the whole pool.

6. After stocking, appropriate amount of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus can be released in the cage, and the habit of channeling upstream and downstream of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus can be used to divert flow and increase oxygen, and the residual bait of Monopterus Albus can be eliminated. A certain amount of silver carp is released in the pond to regulate the water quality.

7. Clean the cage timely, remove too much sundries and attached algae, and keep the exchange of water inside and outside the cage smooth. It is better to put water plants in cages, water hyacinth and water peanuts, which provides a good place for the growth and habitat of Monopterus Albus. When transplanting water peanuts, it is best to remove the roots and soak them in 5% salt water for about 10 minutes to prevent pests such as leeches from being brought into the box with the grass.

8. The seedlings of Monopterus Albus should be strictly sterilized before entering the box, especially from July to September, when Monopterus Albus is prone to disease, sprinkle with 1ppm bleaching powder every 20 days, and isolate the eel as soon as possible. Find the disease, prescribe the right medicine in time, and reduce the loss as much as possible.

9. In December every year, when the water temperature drops below 12 degrees, the feeding and growth of Monopterus Albus basically stops. At this time, the ricefield eel in the cage is collected and listed on the market.

What do eels feed?

Eels like to eat live food and are very gluttonous. Artificial feeding of eels, earthworms and clam meat are all good fodder. Lights can also be used to lure flying insects into the pond, or pig blood can be used to induce flies to lay eggs and maggots as feed. Earthworms are the best, 8 earthworms can increase the meat of eel by 1 gram. Monopterus Albus has a strict choice of food, and it is difficult to change its diet in a short time after feeding one kind of food for a long time. Therefore, when changing the variety of feed, it is necessary not to bait in the first 3 days, so that it does not choose food because of hunger and eat new bait. Monopterus Albus is used to sleeping during the day and going out at night, so it is advisable to give bait at 4-5 pm every day, or before dark in the evening, and then feed it early every day. After a period of taming the bait, it can be fed at 9: 00 am or 2: 00 pm every day. The feeding method can also be used every other day to increase its food intake. The bait can be put on the bait table made of wooden frame or polyethylene mesh cloth, the feeding place should be fixed, and the feeding amount should be 67% of the fish's body weight. The next day after baiting, fresh water should be changed to keep the water quality fresh and the dissolved oxygen in the pool high.

How to control the disease of eel

During the growing period of Monopterus Albus, especially the newly released fish fry and the breeding season of Monopterus Albus, ducks must not be allowed to hunt in the pond. In summer, sometimes because the temperature is too high, Monopterus Albus will be in a coma due to heatstroke. At this time, you should change cool water or shade to cool down, and then feed fresh clam meat. The main disease of Monopterus Albus is plum blossom spot, which is characterized by the appearance of yellow round spot of soybean grain on the back of Monopterus Albus. Treatment: can often put some toads (toads) in the pool, because the toad has prevention and treatment effect, can reduce the incidence of disease. If it is found that the disease has occurred, you can use the head of a peeled toad, tie it with a rope and drag it back and forth in the pool several times. 1 Mel can remove the disease within 2 days.

The farmed eels are obviously larger, fatter and smoother than those in the wild. And only feed some earthworms, fresh maggots, wild miscellaneous fish and other bait, rather than the legendary urea, can make its meat taste more fresh, more nutritious, and deeply loved by people.
