Mini parrot fish are actually freshwater tropical fish. So far, the smallest parrot fish has been artificially bred. So what should we pay attention to in raising such a small parrot fish? How many species are there in such a small parrot fish? Next, I will answer these questions for you one by one.

How to raise mini parrot fish

1. Parrot fish naturally like freedom, so we should choose medium and large fish tanks to raise parrot fish. Parrot fish do not belong to gregarious fish, so the density of fish should not be too high, just keep it within 20. Moreover, do not raise parrot fish and smaller fish together, it is easy to fight.

2. Parrot fish belong to tropical fish and do not like the low temperature environment, so the water temperature for raising parrot fish should be kept between 25 and 30 degrees. When the temperature is low in winter, the water in the fish tank should be heated with thermostat sticks and other equipment in time. Don't freeze the parrot fish.

3. Parrot fish is a gluttonous fish. It can eat almost anything and eat a lot. Therefore, the owners have to feed them three times a day, and they can prepare all kinds of bugs, shrimps and fish feed. But be careful not to feed too much each time, lest the endless fish food will pollute the water quality and make the parrot fish sick.

Breeding conditions of mini parrot fish

1. Parrot fish have become accustomed to a wide range of activities in the natural environment, and the most unsuitable thing in the aquarium is this sense of pressure. Marine fish have a wide range of activities, which is the biggest difference from freshwater fish. According to different ecology, such as sticky eggs, floating eggs, etc., prepare ovaries (spawning attachment site), eggs must have a place of attachment, and stones or other substitutes must be placed in the aquarium.

2. Light is very important for the reproduction of fish. For example, parrot fish often hatch at dusk, and they cannot hatch without turning off the lights. Different fish require no light, but at least keep the aquarium in direct sunlight for 2 to 3 hours a day. Water temperature is also important for reproduction, and it is best to keep it at 26 ℃ ~ 28 ℃. Salinity, pH, nitrite, dissolved oxygen, etc., must meet normal standards. Otherwise, how can fish breed if they can't grow well?

How do mini parrot fish divide male and female

1. The body color of male parrots is relatively red, while that of females is slightly lighter, and it is also easy to turn white. Male parrot fish dorsal fin, anal fin slightly longer, sometimes more than the caudal fin. Female parrot fish generally do not exceed the caudal fin, and a clear distinction between male and female is beneficial to parrot fish reproduction.

2. Male parrot fish are more aggressive and are slightly more likely to start. Female parrot fish also start suddenly (not absolutely) before laying eggs. Male parrot fish see that the part of the reproductive pore is relatively smooth, and the protruding part is very small. The protruding part of the reproductive foramen of the female carp is larger and can be seen obviously.

3. The abdomen of the male parrot fish is smooth, while the female parrot fish expands slightly, especially when spawning nearby. This also needs to distinguish between species, some parrot fish are already round, the abdomen is also very round, some are very long, even the mother's abdomen is not round, so it needs to be compared with the same species.)

Disease prevention of mini parrot fish

1. Note that the water quality in the tank is not infected by external water, utensils, new fish, food, etc. That is, the fresh water should be dried, the water utensils should be washed and disinfected frequently, the newly arrived fish should be washed and disinfected, the nets of fishing fish and insects should be washed and disinfected frequently, and the fish and insects should be washed and disinfected.

2. In a word: take all measures to keep the water in the tank from being infected by foreign objects and exotic fish. Remember a key word: "dry", all appliances should be dried as soon as possible, preferably in the sun, drying can make all kinds of germs die, moisture will breed germs. In addition, keep changing the water regularly so that the water itself does not breed germs.

When raising, if you keep the mini-parrot fish with other fish, the mini-parrot fish will argue with other fish in order to protect the territory from infringement until other species of fish are driven out of their own territory. So this is not conducive to mini parrot fish breeding. So if you decide to keep mini parrot fish, be sure to keep them separately.
