The life of crystal shrimp is very delicate, if you don't pay attention to it, it will cause its life danger. Therefore, in order to cultivate good crystal shrimp, it is very important to maintain good water quality. Crystal shrimp is different from the general ornamental shrimp, it is very sensitive to the water quality of the environment, so in addition to observing the changes of water quality and removing microbes from the bottom bed, we should also pay attention to the PH value of the water quality at all times.

How to raise Crystal Shrimp

1. The choice of the most basic fish tank for raising crystal shrimp. The choice of glass fish tank, can not be too small, it is best to choose 60cm or above fish tank. The fish tank is too small and the water quality is not easy to control. The impact of the change of water quality in small tanks is often the factor of the survival rate of crystal shrimp.

2. Filter. Generally speaking, it can be divided into the application of bottom filtration + bucket filtration or barrel filtration. Personally, I prefer to use ordinary bucket filtration equipment, just like the straw tank. No matter bottom filtration + bucket filtration or bucket filtration, the most important purpose is to filter the dirty debris in the water and cultivate enough beneficial bacteria in the filter bucket to decompose ingredients that are harmful to aquatic organisms.

3. Generally speaking, the most common and common way to raise crystal shrimp is mud. Or the low bed is first covered with volcanic rock and then covered with mud. The volcanic rock in the bottom layer has the function of nourishing bacteria and helping to dissolve the harmful components of aquatic organisms.

4. Sunken wood and other equipment. Mousse is the most commonly used species of aquatic plants in crystal shrimp tanks. The growth conditions are very low and do not need to be taken care of. Tie it to the sunken head and use it. It helps the shrimp hide, especially when the shrimp is in the most vulnerable period after shelling.

Matters needing attention in crystal shrimp culture

1, a good habitat is a prerequisite for successful reproduction, of which the most dramatic impact is the water quality data. Generally speaking, the standard value of raising crystal shrimp is between pH6.2~6.8, GH4~6 and TDS150~220, while the water temperature is maintained at 24026 ℃. The female shrimp takes a lot of physical energy in the process of laying eggs, much more fragile than usual, and may even kick eggs or die suddenly, so you must be very careful about water quality and temperature.

2. It is beneficial to have some algae in the breeding tank. But not all algae crystal shrimp like to eat, such as blue-green algae and filamentous algae, they will grow more and more, as a result, the entire fish tank will be covered, although it will not affect the crystal shrimp, but it is very unsightly and needs to be removed. But remember, crystal shrimp is a very fragile aquatic creature, do not use any drugs to deal with algae.

3. Regardless of the size of the crystal shrimp, the water quality must be kept stable as far as possible. The sudden upheaval is a great threat to their lives, especially those born in vats. The water quality referred to here includes minerals (trace elements), water temperature, PH,GH, and so on. So when changing water for crystal shrimp jars, try to avoid changing too much water, preferably around 20% at a time.

Crystal shrimp disease

1. Tara disease virus disease, referred to as TSV. When the water temperature is as high as 28 ℃, crystal shrimp is easy to get sick. The transparency of water quality is low, the pH value is higher than 9, the content of ammonia nitrogen is more than 0.5 mg / L, and it has been cultured for more than two months. This disease does great harm to crystal shrimp and has a high mortality rate. Taura disease virus is mainly transmitted horizontally, and the incidence of crystal shrimp cultured in fresh water is low.

2. White spot disease is referred to as WSSV for short. The symptoms of white spot disease are: the food intake of diseased crystal shrimp is greatly reduced, or even stop eating. Slow and slow, weak bounce. Float on the surface or lie motionless at the bottom of the pool. The head and chest nail and abdominal nail are easy to peel off, the body color of diseased shrimp is often slightly red or faded, and the body surface adheres to dirt. The leukoplakia on the inside of the carapace can be seen directly with the naked eye.

What do crystal shrimp eat?

1. Mainly feed spinach, kelp and other pesticide-free vegetables. Fish feed for frozen red worms and small lantern fish.

2. Lighting appliances that use red light tubes. Just like the meat on display in the supermarket, even the meat that is slightly placed every other day will look very fresh under the lighting of the red lamp. Therefore, when arranging the aquarium of crystal shrimp life, we can take advantage of this visual illusion.

Crystal shrimp is now of high market value, so it must be profitable to cultivate crystal shrimp, but there is only a return for hard work, and we have to deal with the difficulties and dangers encountered in it. So I would like to share some experience with you here for your reference and correction.
