The snail is the most common dish in our daily life. Various cooking methods make the snail taste excellent and deeply loved by everyone. At the same time, it also makes many breeding friends follow the trend, but is the breeding risk of the snail big? how to raise snails well? What do you need to pay attention to in the process of breeding? let's follow the editor to sum up the experience.

How to raise field snails

1, snail selection: field snail is mostly natural reproduction, artificial culture can be picked from paddy fields, Zizania caduciflora, muddy water ditches, or go to the market to buy, and then choose fresh snails with light brown color, thin shell and obtuse body tail as species of snails. Generally, field snails weighing 15-25 grams can reach sexual maturity, and can reproduce above 15 ℃. Female snails are large and round, while males are small and sharp.

2. Stocking time: snail species can be released not only at one time, but also in batches for many times, but to improve the survival rate, it is generally necessary to avoid the time of high temperature and heat. Of course, stocking at the end of the first year is beneficial to shorten the breeding time and increase the per unit yield of the same year.

3. Stocking method: if you put 11 species snails per square meter in the natural area, you can put 11 species snails per square meter (3 males and 8 females). If you dig a pond alone, you can put 100-500 snails per square meter, and the water depth is 0.8-1 meters. The bottom of the pond retains a layer of silt of more than 10 cm, which is convenient for snails to crawl, feed, perch, etc., and can reproduce naturally when stocking female and male snails together.

Field snail culture techniques and matters needing attention

1. Collocation culture: in order to regulate the water quality by raising 20-50 grams of silver carp and 5-10 bighead carps with 20-50 grams per mu, snail ponds are not suitable for raising carnivorous or carnivorous fish such as green carp, common carp, crucian carp and yellow carp.

2. Feeding: field snail is omnivorous, rice bran, vegetable shavings, melon leaves, animal carcasses and commercial feed can be fed, generally taking aquatic plants, soil humus, vegetable melon peel and so on as staple food, fertile paddy field, fish and snail mixed culture or water surface stocking red duckweed, green duckweed, water hyacinth and other depressions, can be less or no feed.

3, water quality regulation: first, the snail pond should often inject new water to regulate the water quality, especially in the breeding season, it is best to keep the pond water flowing, especially in the high temperature season, the effect of running water culture is better, and micro-running water culture is better in the spring and autumn seasons. the depth of snail pond water should be kept at about 30 cm. The second is to adjust the acidity and alkalinity of water. When the pH value of pond water is on the low side, 0.15-0.18kg quicklime is applied per square meter and sprinkled every 10-15 days, so that the pH value of pool water is kept at 7-8.

What food does the snail eat?

1. Snails like to live in water environments rich in humus in the sediment, such as lakes, marshes, field valleys or slow-flow river ditches with luxuriant water plants, and often feed on microorganisms and humus in the soil and phytoplankton, young aquatic plants and moss in the water, as well as artificial fodder, such as fruits and vegetables, vegetable leaves, rice bran, wheat bran, bean flour (cake) and various animal scraps.

2. The field snail is a gastropod mollusk, which likes to live in the waters with cool winter and summer, soft bottom, rich bait and fresh water quality, especially in the place of micro-running water, with miscellaneous feeding habits, and mainly eats the tender stems and leaves of aquatic plants, organic debris, and so on. And like nocturnal activities and feeding.

Where is the producing area of snails?

The main results are as follows: 1. The field snail refers to the molluscs of the family Oncomelidae, which belongs to the subclass Gastropoda. The field snails are distributed in most areas of China. The field snails have high requirements for water quality and low yield, and can be caught in summer and autumn. Chinese round field snails are often found in fresh water.

2. The field snail is a gastropod mollusk, which likes to live in the water where it is warm in winter and cool in summer, soft in bottom, rich in bait and fresh in water quality, especially in the place of micro-running water. Field snails have miscellaneous feeding habits, mainly eat tender stems and leaves of aquatic plants, organic detritus, etc., and field snails like nocturnal activities and feeding, and the most suitable temperature for growth is 20-27 ℃. When the water temperature rises to 15 ℃ in late spring and early summer, the field snail climbs ten times from the overwintering hole and feeds on the bottom of the water.

Field snails are the most common in rural areas. Paddy fields and ponds can be seen everywhere. Field snails have high requirements for water quality, and field snails with good water quality taste sweet, so farmers still need to make a lot of efforts to raise good snails. In this process, we should pay attention to.
