The water temperature can be controlled between 0-37 ℃, the oxygen content in the water is more than 5 mg / L, the PH value is between 7-8, and the salinity is not required. The light intensity does not affect the growth. In summer, a sunshade is set up above the pool to prevent the water temperature from being too high. The sediment of the young and young Sturgeon should be smooth and pollution-free, and the sediment of the adult Sturgeon can be. The transparency of the water body of the young Sturgeon should be well controlled, the content of ammonia nitrogen is less than 0.2 mg / L, and the flow speed is controlled at 10-20 liters / min.

1. Water temperature requirements

Chinese Sturgeon has strong adaptability to growth water temperature. In general, the water temperature of artificial culture of Chinese Sturgeon can be controlled at 0-37 ℃, the suitable water temperature for their growth is 13-25 ℃, the most suitable water temperature for their growth and development is 20-22 ℃, the suitable water temperature for spawning of parent Sturgeon is 17-24.5 ℃, and the most suitable water temperature for hatching fish eggs is 17-21 ℃.

After entering winter, when the water temperature drops to 9-6 ℃, the food intake of Chinese Sturgeon will decrease, stop growing, and even lose weight. When the water temperature rises to about 10-13 ℃ before and after the Beginning of Spring, they will begin to eat a little, but the growth rate is slow. When the water temperature rises above 15 ℃ after Qingming Festival, they begin to eat normally and grow faster, when the water temperature is 33-38 ℃. Will affect their normal growth.

2. Oxygen content requirements

The Chinese Sturgeon has higher requirements for oxygen content in the water, but the fertile water with great changes in oxygen content in the water cannot cultivate Chinese Sturgeon larvae and young fish. generally, the oxygen content in the water of the Chinese Sturgeon should be controlled above 5 mg / L. if the oxygen content in the water is less than 4 mg / L, they will reduce their food intake, and when the oxygen content in the water is as low as 3 mg / L or less, their food intake will decrease rapidly and will stop eating. Seriously, it can lead to slow movement, coma and death.

3. Acidity and alkalinity requirements

The weakly alkaline water with a pH of 7-8 is the most suitable for the growth of Chinese Sturgeon. If the pH in the water decreases, carbon dioxide increases and the acidity increases, the oxygen content in the water will decrease, which is not conducive to the growth of Chinese Sturgeon. If the pH is too high, the toxicity of ammonia nitrogen in water will be enhanced, and the growth and development of Chinese Sturgeon will be strengthened.

4. Salinity requirements

Chinese Sturgeon has strong adaptability to salinity. Chinese Sturgeon growing in general natural conditions grow back and forth in salt water and fresh water. They breed in fresh water and then grow in sea water.

5. Light intensity

When the Chinese Sturgeon is in the vertical swimming stage, the fry are afraid of sunlight, but when it comes to the benthic stage, their phototaxis will disappear, and generally speaking, the light intensity will not affect the cultivation of young and young Sturgeon. However, in the summer high temperature to avoid the impact of direct sunlight on the growth of Chinese Sturgeon, sunshade equipment should be installed on the top of the culture pond.

6. The bottom of the pond

Chinese Sturgeon and young Sturgeon have relatively high requirements for the bottom of the pond, and the bottom of the pond is required to be smooth and non-polluting, while the adult Chinese Sturgeon does not have very high requirements for the bottom of the pond, as long as it is sediment.

7. Transparency of water body

In order to provide a better growth environment for Chinese Sturgeon and young Sturgeon, in their breeding stage, the transparency of the water body had better be controlled at about 40-60cm, and clean up the excreta in the pond in time, so as to control the quantity of plankton, mud and other suspended matter in the water, and maintain good water quality; during the feeding process of adult Chinese Sturgeon, the transparency of the water body can be controlled around 30cm.

8. Ammonia nitrogen content

If the content of ammonia nitrogen in the water is too high, it will lead to a decline in the vitality of the Chinese Sturgeon, slow growth, rotten gills and other diseases, and in serious cases, it may also lead to mass death of fish. In the breeding stage of Chinese Sturgeon and young Sturgeon, the content of ammonia nitrogen in water should be controlled below 0.2 mg / L.

9. Current velocity

Chinese Sturgeon and young Sturgeon like to concentrate on the location of the flow mouth, generally in the culture pond with an area of 3-10 inches, the water flow is best controlled at 10-20 liters / min; when they spawn, they mostly choose to be carried out in the waters where the river turns and has deep feelings, the flow field is accompanied by eddies and there are large pebbles, and the average current speed is generally about 1-2m/s.
