When breeding carp, they can be fed with artificial compound feed such as fish cake, bean cake, barley, rice bran, wheat bran, silkworm pupa, corn meal, animal scraps, etc., and all kinds of commercial feed should be strictly adhered to the principle of "four determinations". The composition of feed should be adjusted according to different growth stages of carp to ensure adequate and balanced nutrition, usually twice a day. The specific feed should be adjusted according to the weather, water temperature and the feeding condition of the fish.

Carp is an omnivorous fish and is one of the most important freshwater farmed fish in China. Carps growing in the natural environment mainly feed on animal bait such as chironomid larvae, benthos, snails and shrimps, as well as plant feeds such as higher aquatic plant cultivation and sprouts. Artificially farmed carp generally eat artificial compound feed and various commercial feeds.

Feed formula for carp

1, 45% wheat bran, 40% bean cake, 10% barley, 5% fish meal, and then add appropriate amount of multivitamin, inorganic salt, lysine, methionine to mix and feed, the feed feeding coefficient is 2.

2. 45% wheat bran, 30% fish meal, 15% bean cake and 10% barley were mixed, and then mixed with appropriate amount of multivitamin, inorganic salt, methionine and lysine, the feed feeding coefficient was 2.

3. 50% of bean cake, 15% of fish cake, 15% of wheat bran, 15% of rice bran, 1% of multivitamins, black chicken salt and antibiotic leftovers, 2% of the adhesive were mixed and fed, and the feed feeding coefficient was 2.7.

4. 40% of fish meal, 20% of soybean meal, 40% of tail meal, 37% of crude protein and a certain proportion of additives were evenly mixed, and the feed feeding coefficient was 1.74.

5. 8% fish meal, 17% bean cake, 30% cotton cake, 2% meat and bone meal, 2% silkworm pupa, 14.5% barley, 20% third-grade flour, 4% corn meal, 0.5% oil feet, 1.5% minerals, 0.5% pig blood and 33% crude protein were mixed and fed, and the feed feeding coefficient was 2.28.

The feed given to carp should contain about 35% protein and 5-8% fat to ensure balanced nutrition. In the process of feeding, we should adhere to the "four fixed" principle and feed once every morning and evening. The specific amount of feed should be adjusted according to the weather change, the water temperature in the pond and the feeding situation of the fish. Generally, the feeding quantity should be 2-10% of the total weight of the fish, and it is best for the fish to finish the feed in about 10-20 minutes.
