Misgurnus anguillicaudatus can be cultured in ponds, rice fields, pit ponds and cages. Pond culture: common culture methods, can be mixed with grass carp, silver carp and so on. Rice field culture: can be mutually beneficial, but we should pay attention to raise the ridge of the field to prevent Loach escape. Pit pond aquaculture: use the low-lying land near the house for breeding to save feed and site fees. Cage culture: need to stay away from industrial areas, water quality is critical.

1. Pond culture

Pond culture of Loach is a more common way of breeding, first choose a good site, such as ponds, cement land, etc., the depth of the pond is about two meters, the water depth is about 55 centimeters. Before stocking Loach, first disinfect it with quicklime or bleach, then put some organic fertilizer to cultivate the water quality, about 200-250 kg seedlings per mu. Then the Loach is fed some artificial bait every day, such as rice bran, fish meal, fly maggots and so on, which can be sold after about four months.

Pond mixed culture is to raise Misgurnus anguillicaudatus and other aquatic products together, such as grass carp, silver carp and so on. This kind of culture does not need to feed Loach, as long as the fish are fed with a certain amount of bait. The rest of the fish and the feces of the fish can become the food of the Loach, which can save costs and is a good breeding method.

2. Rice field culture

The rice field has a certain weak acidity and less sediment, so the rice field culture can save the cost and water surface, but the rice field culture Loach should raise the ridge around the rice field to avoid the Loach escape. The rice field model can be used in both fields, and the Loach can be fed on insects and aquatic plants in the rice field, which can protect against insect pests, while the excretion property of the Loach can be used as fertilizer for rice. In this way, both rice and Loach can be mutually beneficial.

3. Pit pond culture

Pit pond culture is the use of abandoned ponds or lowlands near houses as breeding grounds. This kind of breeding land does not need to be very large, and the number of Loach will not be very large. Although the environment of this kind of pit pond will not be very good, there is a lot of organic matter, but Loach has special respiratory organs, so it can survive well in this kind of pit pond, and this kind of breeding method is generally fed with some fertilizers such as pig manure and chicken manure, which saves both feed and site fees.

4. Cage culture

Cage culture is a kind of culture method that is convenient to manage. Although Loach has strong vitality, it is still necessary to choose a site with a better environment for production. The site had better have good water quality and the water source is far away from the industrial area. For example, sunny lakes, living water ponds and reservoirs are all good breeding sites.

In addition, cages also need a certain height to avoid Loach escape, cage culture is generally based on feeding artificial feed.
