Sow paralysis needs to be diagnosed before it can be treated, and early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment are needed after paralysis. If the condition is mild, VD3 can be injected intramuscularly with a dose of about 6-8 mg, once every 3 days, 3-5 times continuously. If the condition is serious, need to use vitamin glue calcium for intramuscular injection, the dose is about 5-10 ml, once a day, continuous injection for 3 days or so.

What kind of injection does the sow give after paralysis?

1. After paralysis, sows should choose the appropriate treatment according to the paralysis of sows. For mild sows, you can use human VD3 6 to 8 mg intramuscular injection, once every 3 days, 3-5 times in a row, and add crushed calcium tablets to the feed.

2. If it is a sow with severe symptoms, you can use vertin colloidal calcium 5 to 10ml each muscle injection, once a day, for 3 to 5 days, in addition, the use of high spirits or camphor after all smearing the skin for artificial massage to promote blood circulation and restore the neural function of the sow.

Causes, symptoms and treatment of sow paralysis

1. Wind paralysis

(1) reason: sows are prone to paralysis before and after delivery, which is called postpartum wind paralysis or postpartum cold.

(2) symptoms: at this time, the symptoms are that sows can not walk, it is very difficult to eat, and very little milk is secreted.

(3) treatment plan: improper feeding management, early age of first mating and hypoplasia of sows should be avoided during feeding.

2. Milk paralysis

(1) the reason: paralysis also occurs when sows are deficient in calcium and phosphorus, or when the living quarters are wet, dark, exercise and lack of light, which is called milk paralysis.

(2) symptoms: the symptoms of milk paralysis are lame legs and inability to lie on the ground. If there are symptoms of milk paralysis, it can not be mated at this time, otherwise the phenomenon of fracture will occur.

(3) treatment: at this time, sows need to be supplemented with sufficient calcium and phosphorus. Each sow needs about 30-50 grams of bone meal and stone powder every day, and pay attention to the ratio of calcium to phosphorus. If there is a lack of phosphorus in its daily food, you need to add wheat bran to supplement phosphorus; if you eat too much phosphorus, you need to supplement calcium.

Third, what aspects should be paid attention to in sow paralysis?

1. It is not the same disease as long as there is paralysis. It should be diagnosed as soon as possible after the sow is paralyzed. Only after diagnosis can we prescribe the right medicine.

2. There are many reasons for paralysis. It is recommended that after the symptoms of paralysis appear, acupuncture should be used to prick its skin to see the severity of its condition, and at the same time to ensure the environmental hygiene in the enclosure.

3. The course of postpartum paralysis is very fast and needs timely treatment, otherwise it will lead to heart failure and death.

4. Sows paralyzed not only affect themselves, but also have a direct impact on piglets, so as far as possible in the process of breeding should pay special attention to prevention.

5. During the prenatal period, it is necessary to ensure the nutrition of sows, increase foods with high calcium content, bask in the sun, keep exercising, etc., so the usual prevention of this kind of disease is greater than the follow-up treatment.
