Choose the site: peacocks should be cultured on hillsides with shady trees and half soil and half sand. Introduction and selection: choose peacocks with good spirit, sensitive response and smooth and neat feathers. Brooding: 1-20 days old were raised in net or cage, and the suitable growth temperature for 1-10 days old was 34-38 ℃, followed by slow cooling. Feed: mainly feed powder, bread worms, cooked eggs, green feed and so on. Culture density: the feeding quantity is 40-50.

I. Culture conditions of peacocks

1. Select a site

The selection requirements of peacocks are basically the same as those of domestic chickens, which should be selected on the sloping hillside with relatively sloping terrain, shady trees, half soil and half sand, quiet environment, forage grass and shrubs can be planted, in order to better raise and domesticate peacocks, it is better to simulate the breeding site as a wild environment.

2. Feed preparation

Peacocks eat the same feed as domestic chickens, green feed, such as vegetables, forage grass, animal feed, such as eggs, minced meat, grains, such as Su seed, rice, corn, sesame seed, sorghum and so on.

3. Introduction and selection

Before introducing peacocks, we must master the basic knowledge of selecting peacocks, understand the source of seed supply in a comprehensive and multi-faceted way, and choose peacocks with good spirit, strong feet, sensitive response, bright eyes, smooth and neat feathers, uncrooked toes and good appetite.

2. Breeding methods of peacocks

1. Brooding equipment

Peacocks usually use artificial brooding method, brooding is about 2 months, 1-20-day-old peacocks are generally raised in cages or nets, each grid width is about 200cm, long 250cm, bottom net height is about 60cm, can be set indoor and outdoor.

2. Growth temperature

The suitable growth temperature of peacock is 34-38 ℃ at 1-10 days old, 26-28 ℃ at 11-20 days old, 24-26 ℃ at 21-30 days old, and can adapt to room temperature when peacock feathers increase gradually, and the air humidity can be kept at about 60-70%.

3. Feeding

Peacocks can be fed four times a day for 1-10 months, such as powder, bread worms, cooked eggs, green feed, etc., and three times a day for 11-30 months, such as powder, green feed, minced meat, bread worms, cooked eggs, etc., and 2-3 times a day for 31-60 months, such as powder, green feed, corn dregs, sorghum, meat fodder, bread worms, cooked eggs and so on.

4. Culture density

In general, the feeding quantity of each group of peacocks is 40-50. If the breeding density is properly reduced according to its growth, the peacocks can drink and feed on their own, the environment needs to be quiet, in order to prevent alarm, kill rats, deworming, epidemic prevention, disinfection, animal prevention and other work on a regular basis, and timely compartment of sick chicks.

5. Prevention and treatment of diseases

Peacocks have good disease resistance and adaptability, if the breeding environment is poor, improper management is easy to suffer from avian cholera, coccidiosis, pinworms, white dysentery, such as timely prevention and treatment.
