Aquaculture ponds: soil ponds, masonry ponds and cement ponds can be selected for culture. Water quality: choose fresh light green water and change the water regularly to ensure the transparency of water quality. Feeding: animal and plant baits can be fed in the early morning to ensure freshness. Water temperature: the suitable temperature for growth is about 22 ℃. If the temperature is too low, you need to raise the temperature artificially. In winter, you can put the tortoise on the wet sand, or in the tank with 10cm water depth, to let it hibernate. Prevention of enemy damage: mainly prevent mosquitoes, rats and ants.

I. Culture Pond

1. Soil ponds, masonry ponds and cement ponds can be used for culture, and the area can be determined according to the number of tortoise seedlings. Land needs to be built around the culture pond with a certain slope to facilitate the turtles to climb ashore from the culture ponds, and a small amount of dry sand piles need to be set up on land for adult turtles to lay eggs.

2. The water depth of the culture pond is about 60cm. Some floating lotus can be planted in the pond to provide summer shelter for flower turtles. Caves need to be built around the culture pond to facilitate flower turtles to inhabit. Low walls need to be built around the land, and the height is about 50cm. The top of the wall needs to do T-shaped angle to prevent flower turtles from escaping.

II. Water quality

Can choose fresh light green water for breeding, transparency needs to be maintained around 25cm, the water in the cement pool is easy to deteriorate, so it needs to be replaced in time to avoid causing disease.

III. Feeding

The feed of flower turtles, whether animal or plant, should be kept fresh to avoid corruption and deterioration. When the temperature is not very high, it can be fed in the early morning, during which the bait should not be too much to prevent the residual bait from polluting the water.

4. Water temperature

1. The early spring of every year is very critical to the survival of flower turtles. At this stage, flower turtles are in a state of semi-hibernation, and the temperature changes greatly during the day and night, so if the temperature is not well mastered, it is easy to cause the tortoise to get sick. When the temperature is generally 15 ℃, it is necessary to raise the temperature artificially to keep the temperature above 22 ℃, and then feed it. The temperature should not be lowered after feeding.

2. Although the flower turtle has an appetite when the temperature is 17 ℃, it should not be fed to avoid diseases caused by abnormal digestion after eating. When the summer water temperature is about 34 ℃, the flower turtle has a relatively large food intake, so it is necessary to increase the food intake, which is beneficial to the growth and development of the flower turtle. If it is not necessary to breed, it can be fed 2-3 times every 7 days.

3. In the usual process of breeding, it is necessary to change water before feeding, but it is not suitable to use well water to avoid excessive water temperature difference, which leads to adverse consequences. autumn is the key period for raising flower turtles. As the saying goes, bones are raised in spring and fat in autumn. The amount of nutrients stored in the tortoise body will affect the success or failure of hibernation of the tortoise, so it is necessary to increase feeding in autumn. Then an appropriate amount of vitamin C and multivitamins can be added to the diet to improve the resistance of flower turtles.

4, during the period also need to maintain a suitable temperature, night temperature of about 18 ℃ to avoid causing disease, if raised well in autumn, is conducive to the hibernation of flower turtles, in winter, flower turtles can be put on the wet sand, or put in 10cm deep tank, let flower turtles hibernate, breeding process, the water temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃, otherwise it will not be conducive to flower turtles into hibernation, serious cases will lead to death.

V. Prevention of enemy damage

Flower turtles are relatively resistant to disease and rarely get sick, but the temperature is too high, which can easily lead to coma and death of flower turtles. Mosquitoes, rats and ants do great harm to turtle eggs and young turtles, so we should pay attention to precautions. At the same time, we should also pay attention to avoid pesticides and sewage flowing into the culture pond, so as not to cause poisoning and death of flower turtles.
