Breeding site: eel culture should choose areas with convenient transportation, no pollution, sufficient water and convenient electric power to build ponds, with an area of about 50 mu and equipped with various systems and equipment. Water quality requirements: the water temperature suitable for growth is 25-28 ℃, and the water quality is slightly acidic and rich in oxygen. Bait requirements: eel is carnivorous fish, should be fed small fish, earthworms, small insects, processing bait and so on.

1. Breeding grounds

Before breeding eel, we should choose a suitable breeding site, where there is sufficient water source, no pollution, convenient transportation and convenient electric power, and the specification should be at least about 50 mu, and then the eel pond should be planned. In addition, the farm also needs to prepare drainage system, water injection system, aerator, heating and cooling system and other equipment.

II. Water quality requirements

1. In the process of breeding eel, the water temperature and water quality must be strictly controlled. Generally, eel is suitable to grow at a water temperature of 25-28 ℃, with a minimum temperature of not less than 15 ℃ and a maximum of no more than 30 degrees.

2. The growth of eel in slightly acidic water is more conducive to the rapid growth of eel. Eel needs sufficient oxygen in the process of growth, and the oxygen content of water should be 12 mg per liter. Water should contain a certain proportion of iron, calcium, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, nitrate and other elements, too much or how much elements will affect the normal growth of eels.

III. Bait requirements

1. When raising eel, there are certain requirements for bait, because eel is a kind of carnivorous fish.

2. In general, eel culture can be fed with small insects, small fish, earthworms and other feeds. In addition, it can also be fed with processed bait, that is, animal feed is processed into pellets or powder. Fresh farmed fish can also be ground and fed.

IV. The mode of eel culture

1. Open-air aquaculture

The most commonly used way of breeding eel is open-air water culture, the main reason is that the culture cost is relatively low, first of all, the zone with sufficient water source should be selected to build open-air culture ponds, and the water quality management should be strengthened in daily management. in order to meet the growth conditions of eel, water needs to be changed every day, and the oxygen content in the water body needs to be replenished artificially.

2. Soil pond culture

Soil pond culture is the most traditional culture mode, in fact, pond culture is the only difference is that the bottom of the pond does not need cement repair, that is, the soil. First of all, earth ponds should be built in areas with sufficient water and sunny water, and then equipped with drainage and irrigation systems. Surround the barbed wire and take measures to prevent escape.

3. Warm running water culture

At present, the more advanced culture mode is warm running water aquaculture, and the most important thing in culture is water supply and water control. when breeding, the water temperature should be controlled at about 27 ℃, so that the water can flow continuously and form a kind of self-flowing water.
