Feeding pond requirements: ponds, ditches and paddy fields can be reformed, and the area is determined according to the feeding quantity, and gauze should be installed at the inlet and outlet. Breeding requirements: the number of breeding is about 80,000 per mu, and some floating plants can be planted in the pond for sunshade and spawning. Daily management: keep the water temperature between 15-30 ℃ to ensure the water quality. Feed management: every day according to the amount of snails and shellfish, can be put into the water every week with livestock blood clots of wood, placed not more than 2 days.

I. requirements for feeding ponds

The cultivation of leeches is inseparable from the construction of breeding ponds, which can be transformed with ponds, ditches and paddy fields. if they are artificially built, it is best to build a breeding pond with a height of about 2 meters, a water depth of about 1 meters and a width of about 3 meters. There is no special limit on the length of the breeding pond. It is also necessary to use mesh cloth to make a guardrail at the inlet and outlet to prevent leeches from escaping.

II. Requirements for culture

1. In the process of leech breeding, about 80,000 young leeches can be kept per mu, and about 20 kilograms of leeches can be planted.

2. In order to make the leeches have a better living environment, some stones and branches can be placed at the bottom of the pond, and some aquatic vegetation such as Zizania caduciflora, lotus root, aquatic plants, bushes and so on can be planted on the surface of the water. These plants can be used as habitats for leeches, while leeches can also lay eggs on them and shade the sun to a certain extent.

3. At the same time, some dung water can be put into the breeding pond to cultivate plankton, regulate water quality and increase the content of humus at the bottom of the pond, which is beneficial to the growth of leeches.

III. Daily management

In the process of breeding leeches, it is necessary to maintain good water quality in the pond, strictly prevent pesticides and chemicals from polluting the water source at the inlet, and do not use spring water that is too alkaline to breed leeches. The temperature of the water should also be well controlled. Well water with too low temperature is not suitable for raising leeches. If spring water is used, it can not be used until its water temperature rises.

However, in summer, we should also pay special attention to the water temperature, because if the water temperature is too high, it will affect the growth of leeches. In order to avoid the water temperature being too high caused by the sun shining directly on the surface of the water, it is necessary to plant some shade plants by the pond and change the water frequently. Keep the water temperature between 15 and 30 degrees.

4. Feed management

The feed of leech includes snails, shellfish, grass shrimp, animal blood and so on. When feeding, it is not advisable to overfeed. About 5 kilograms of field snails are put into the water every 100 square meters of water, and wood blocks with blood clots can be put into the water every week. The blood clots are the blood clots of livestock without adding salt. In addition, the blood clot should not be kept for more than 2 days.

5. Reproduction management

The ability of reproduction and regeneration of leeches is very strong. The spawning period of leeches is from the beginning of May to September, and the eggs can hatch young leeches after about 20 days. Leeches also grow very fast. If they are raised with rich nutrition and good water quality, they can increase by about 2 centimeters a month. When it comes to autumn, leeches will probably become leeches in October.
