Provenance acquisition: eggs, nymphs and adults were naturally collected in the field. Breeding: collecting egg branches from the wild or at provenance sites. Growth conditions: planting poplar, elm, willow, paulownia and so on. Production facilities: build a gauze shed. Timely harvest: tortoises can be harvested from mid-late June (around the Summer Solstice) to early August (around the Beginning of Autumn).

I. provenance acquisition

The main results are as follows: 1. Eggs, nymphs and adults can be collected naturally in the field, and various insect states can be collected from July to September, while August to September is the better season to collect nymphs, and September is the better time to collect branches with turtle eggs, which can be collected all year round.

2. The collection of eggs can be made in places where there are many turtles in the tree. Use fruit branch shears or long rods with hooks at the top to remove the 1-2-year-old thin orange strips from the tree where the turtles lay eggs.

II. Reproductive species

The breeding objects are newly hatched nymphs or eggs close to hatching, so the egg branches can be collected directly from the wild or in the provenance site, and then placed indoors to promote hatching. the breeding time is generally from June to July (current year eggs) or September to October (2 years eggs).

Third, provide growth conditions

1. You can choose strong tree species with developed root system, exuberant growth and more juice, such as poplar, elm, willow, paulownia, and various fruit trees in the orchard, as well as some rhizome plants, such as sweet potato, potato, yam and so on.

2, the planting depth is about 30-50 cm, the terrain should be sunny, which is conducive to anti-freezing, the soil should be soft, fertile, pollution-free, not too dry, the water content should not be too high, or there may be stagnant water.

3. In order to ensure the normal growth and development of the host plant root system, tender and succulent, the breeding area can be covered with a layer of wheat straw, rice straw, corn straw and so on.

IV. Construction of production facilities

The main results are as follows: 1. in addition to the natural harvest of turtle eggs, a screen greenhouse can be built to provide space for adults to lay eggs, and fruit trees in abandoned orchards can be used to replant fruit tree seedlings.

2. Around the seedlings of fruit trees, cement columns or bamboo bars can be used to build fences, and iron wires can be drawn in the middle, which can be covered with a layer of nylon window screen.

3. For the adults that are feathered or collected, they can mate and lay eggs, and the adults can be retained according to the number in the future, and there is no need to collect provenances from the field.

5. Timely harvest

1. From mid-late June (around the Summer Solstice) to early August (around the Beginning of Autumn), it is a better season to harvest tortoises in the fields. Generally, the weather is concentrated in early July or after rain, and nymphs are in the wet and soft ground. Will dig holes with a pair of jagged forefeet.

2. After climbing out of the ground, do short-term exercise on the ground, and finally climb to the tree trunk or scaffolding to prepare to molt, and then feather into a knot turtle at 4-6 o'clock in the morning. At this time, you can use flashlight lighting to catch the ground and trunk under the tree at night. You can also catch the feathered tender-knot turtle on the tree in the morning.
