Prepare box baskets: you can make box baskets with bamboo, bauhinia, rattan, wood, plastic, etc. Loading in the box: you can use relatively soft garden soil, or mix it with sawdust for breeding. Stocking earthworms: select high-quality earthworms and put them in the box basket. Feed: the suitable temperature for breeding is 20-27 ℃, the humidity needs to be kept at 70% 80%, and ventilation is carried out 3-4 times a day. When the earthworms grow to the commercial specifications, the large earthworms can be caught.

First, prepare the box basket

The box basket can be made of bamboo, bauhinia, rattan, wood, plastic, etc. The specification is 60cm*30cm*20cm, or 60cm*40cm*20cm, or 60cm*50cm*20cm, or 60cm*20cm*30cm, or 60cm*40cm*30cm. The bottom and side of the box basket need to have drainage and ventilation holes.

II. Loading in the box

The loading in the box should not be too much, if too much is not conducive to ventilation, the stacking height is 16cm, which will not dry the feed and is conducive to the growth and reproduction of earthworms. Generally, you can use relatively soft garden soil, or mix the garden soil with sawdust, or use horse dung paper and grass wrench paper that are torn up and soaked with water.

3. Stocking earthworms

Select high-quality earthworms into the box basket, such as Daping II, not only very large, but also have a long life, strong reproductive ability, but also easy to raise.

4. Feed

Earthworm is a kind of omnivorous animal, which mainly feeds on rotten organic matter, so pig dung, cow dung, straw and weeds can be used as feed, and the feed formula is 100% of cow dung. Or 35% of pig manure, 50% of cow manure, 150% of straw, or 50% of straw / weeds and 50% of pig manure, the feed needs to be fully fermented and ripened to avoid death of earthworms.

V. Daily management

The better breeding temperature for earthworms is 20-27 ℃, the air relative humidity needs to be maintained at 70% Mel 80%, and ventilation needs to be carried out 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes each time. When earthworms grow to commercial specifications, large earthworms can be caught.

6. Catching earthworms

1. Irrigation capture method: earthworms are more afraid of stagnant water, so the method of irrigation can be used to make earthworms catch after coming out of the hole, or they can also be caught in paddy fields during spring ploughing.

2. Stacking trapping method: the fermented and ripe feed is stacked in places where earthworms are to be trapped, such as fields and vegetable gardens, with a height of 30-40cm, a width of 40-50cm, and an unlimited length. Earthworms gather after 3-5 days of stacking. If 50% soil is mixed and fermented as feed, the trapping effect will be better.

3. Excavation method: earthworms can be caught by ploughing nail and rake, the method is relatively simple, but the effect is poor, this method is suitable for small-scale breeding.

4. Chemical capture method: 15% potassium permanganate solution 7L/m2, or 0.55% formaldehyde solution 13.7 L/m2 can be sprinkled in the place where earthworms are collected, and the earthworms will slowly climb to the ground, which is more convenient to catch at this time.
