Intramuscular injection: the location of injection is in the muscular buttocks or neck. Subcutaneous injection: the location of the injection should be on the inside of the thigh or behind the ear root. Intravenous injection: choose the location of the injection is the back of the ear or the great auricular vein. Intraperitoneal injection: the liquid is injected into the abdominal cavity. Pigs bleed after injections due to the occurrence of African classical swine fever and eperythrozoon, or by mycotoxins, and deficiency of qi and blood.

First, the correct position of pig injection

1. Intramuscular injection

Because the intramuscular blood vessels are rich, the injection solution is absorbed very quickly, and the distribution of sensory nerves in the muscle is relatively small, so the pain caused by intramuscular injection is relatively mild, so intramuscular injection is a more commonly used method of injection. the location of injection is generally chosen in the buttocks or neck where the muscles are plump.

2. Hypodermic injection

Subcutaneous injection is to inject the liquid into the loose tissue between the skin and muscle. The location of the injection is generally thin and easy to move, but less active, such as the inner thigh or behind the ear root.

3. Intravenous injection

Intravenous injection is a therapeutic technique that injects the solution directly into the blood vessels to promote the rapid effect of the liquid. It is mainly used to rescue critically ill pigs. The location of injection is generally the dorsal ear or the great auricular vein. When intravenous injection is made, you need to first wipe the great auricular vein on the back of the ear with alcohol cotton balls to make the vein dilate, and then use your fingers to press the basal ear vein to make the blood vessels bulge.

4. Intraperitoneal injection

Intraperitoneal injection is to inject the drug solution into the abdominal cavity, so as to achieve the purpose of treatment. Generally, piglets often use this method. The injection should not be too deep or partial to the front to avoid damage to internal organs. At the same time, it should not be too partial to the rear to avoid damage to the bladder.

Second, what is the cause of bleeding after the injection

1. African classical swine fever

African classical swine fever virus will attack the liver, because the liver stores blood, so after liver damage, there will be thin blood, bleeding after injection, African classical swine fever will be accompanied by body temperature rising to more than 41 ℃, hunger strike, abortion, vomiting blood, hematochezia symptoms.

2. Eperythrozoon

As eperythrozoon is attached to pig red blood cells or plasma, it is easy to cause porcine xanthosis anemia and other symptoms of disease, resulting in thin blood, after the injection will have bleeding symptoms, the occurrence of eperythrozoon, will lead to constipation, body temperature of 40-41 ℃, urine is tea yellow, serious will be close to red, there will be blood spots on the back, towels can be wiped off.

3. Be attacked by mycotoxin

Mycotoxin mainly invades the internal organs of pigs, and the damaged liver is seriously damaged, or for a long time, the symptoms of bleeding will occur after injection, and pigs seriously affected by mycotoxin will have rust on their backs. body temperature is normal, feeding is normal, part of the back will also have bleeding spots.

4. Deficiency of qi and blood

Sows are in a state of high load and high consumption of qi and blood for a long time, and it is easy to have deficiency of qi and blood. When there is deficiency of qi and blood, the liver will be damaged and the kidney will be damaged at the same time. The symptoms of bleeding will occur after injection, generally lack of qi and blood. Sows will have some problems, such as dystocia, long labor process, foot cleft, postpartum constipation and so on.
