1. Growth Habits of Water Lily
Water lily is an aquatic plant, often born in ponds and lakes, and likes sunny, warm and humid environments with good ventilation.
Water lilies are relatively cold-resistant and can withstand temperatures of-20℃. As long as there is no ice in the underwater soil, water lilies will not freeze to death.
Water lily is a daytime flowering type, petals open in the morning, closed in the afternoon, slightly tolerant of shade, in the shore of the pond, although able to flower, but weak growth.
Water lily soil requirements are not strict, pH 6-8, are normal growth, but like rich organic loam. The suitable depth of pool water for plum node growth should not exceed 80cm, and some varieties can reach 150cm.
2. How do water lilies grow flowers?
Prepare a container with a large diameter and put in an appropriate amount of aquaculture water or tap water that has been exposed to the sun. Then transplant the lily pads into containers and place them in a garden with scattered light. Change the water once a week at ordinary times, and add special nutrient solution according to its growth situation.
To arrange flowers with water lily, you need to choose relatively healthy water lily branches, then cut the water lily with sterile scissors, the length should not be too long, then turn the water lily upside down, irrigate the flower stalk, fill it with cotton plug, and then insert the water lily into the culture container.
